2  Roll-on Parfum in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by glitterlisa on: August 28, 2005 02:02:12 AM
It's easy peasy to make. All you need is jojoba oil (or some other carrier oil for your fragrance oil or essential oil). I used a 10ml container here - 7 -8 ml of jojoba oil and 2 - 3 ml of fragrance oil. I used a pipette with ml markings on it.

3  My try at Solid Bubble Bath in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by glitterlisa on: August 28, 2005 01:50:18 AM
Thanks again for posting the recipe - Here's my try at making solid bubble bath. It's scented with cake, which turned it brown. It reminds me of coffee cake. All cubes have been used/passed out with much pleasure.

4  Raspberry Lemonade Crock Pot Hot Process Soap in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by glitterlisa on: August 17, 2005 08:30:02 AM
It's my best "swirl" (as much swirl as you can get with hot process) yet, so I thought I'd post. Made with Olive, Coconut, & Avocado Oil.

5  Re: melt and pour buried treasure soap in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by glitterlisa on: June 10, 2005 12:33:06 PM
These look great! very creative! (makes me want to dig in my molds to see if I have domed one and do something similar! Thanks for the inspriation!

i used some melt and pour glycerin soap base to make what i call 'buried treasure' soap for a recent pirate-themed craft swap. i found some plastic treasure coins at a party supply store and added them to a clear glycerin soap. i learned the hard way what happens when you pour super-hot soap into plastic molds so wait until your soap is thickened before pouring into molds! here's a pic of the soaps all wrapped and ready to go:

6  Re: designs IN your lip balm in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by glitterlisa on: March 15, 2005 06:33:16 AM
You could make a batch of lip balm in a shallow container, and then cut the shapes out with a cookie cutter, place it in the lip balm container and then pour the 2nd color in.

ive seen many an add for martha stewart do-it-yourself lip balm kits in her mags but i have one nagging question.. how the HECK does she get those designs IN the lip balm? some of them are striped (red and white for ex.) some have star inlays in different colors in them.. anyone have any ideas of how i would go about doing this?? would be very interested to know. the only thing i can think of is using mini cookie cutters but it would be extreamly hard to work that fast i think.. especially since lip balm solidifies very quickly.

You inspired me to go to a JoAnn's accross town to see if they still had that leaf mold! (They did)
I make a rose soap with silk petals:

JoAnn's has been having such great sales lately. Are they going out of business? I bought some mini terra cotta pots that were 50% off the other week for flower pot candles.

9  Re:Loofah Soaps in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by glitterlisa on: April 07, 2004 02:20:16 PM
Ok, you guys inspired me to make some loofah soaps:

I fragranced these with Eucalyptus Mint.
I have some ground loofah that I haven't broken into yet...

Alrighty, no digital camera yet, but here is something I made. I grated up some loofah, and using melt and pour soaps made a replica of a soap the "Body Shop" used to sell.  The loofah mixed in the soap makes it a wonderful exfoliator!

These look great! Go Tam!

I finished some new soaps for the show on Sat.

I started with a Delta No Tip mold which has the four soap molds, each with a raised symbol.

I used ultra clear melt and pour and added linden tea and feverfew in them, along with 'Jade' fragrance oil from Scentology. The green color comes from the feverfew leaves.

I hand painted each of the symbols with a metallic gold paint- thought they came out pretty neat.

The four symbols are Tranquility, Energy, Love and Happiness.
