1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Circle/Tube Scarf Pattern? on: February 05, 2010 10:36:39 PM
I'm in the mood to knit a circle/tube scarf. Anyone know of any good patterns? I may experiment on some circulars, but I'm looking to make a longer style that can be wrapped around twice or worn on your head like a good (Think AA style but knitted) Any suggestions? Was going to try 2x2 ribbing on the edges and stockinette in the center but it seems kinda blah.
2  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Spunky's own Howl sweater on: January 19, 2006 02:41:27 PM
I made this using leftover Lion brand homespun yarn in a blue and green color, and I also didn't make the neck part 5" as directed because I thought that it would be too high. I don't think he likes it too much though, lol.
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Online retailer for Brown Sheep yarns? on: January 13, 2006 03:08:34 PM
The other day I did a search either on yahoo! or google for yarn and I found an online retailer that sold Brown Sheep yarn, but I didn't bookmark it and now I can't find the stupid site. Does anyone know of any online retailers that sell Brown Sheep yarns? I can't find it at my LYS, thank you!
4  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Marsupial SnB tote on: January 10, 2006 09:40:38 PM
I recently made this tote and felted today, I really like how felting completely alters the look of a knit piece! I used Paton's Classic Merino yarn instead of the Brown Sheep, which I can't find anywhere really. I think the handles looks a little wierd, like they didn't felt enough. I may run it one more time.  Grin
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Knitting abreviation question on: January 09, 2006 09:29:10 AM
I'm attempting to make the Marsupial felted tote in SnB, and I was wondering when reading the pattern, what the heck does "RT" mean?

For example, the pattern says, "*RT, k to within 2 sts of marker, RT, sl marker, rep from *"

I'm sure its probably something obvious but I'm not sure anyway. Thanks a lot!
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Holding yarn for lefties. on: January 03, 2006 12:21:38 AM
Hey, I'm new to knitting and I've become quite obsessed. Anyway, any tips on holding the yarn for lefties knitting continental? I'm using the wrap around the pointer finger twice method (not sure what its called .. i read it in the SnB book) and its starting to feel like I'm getting rug burn on my finger!! Any tips??
