1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Circle/Tube Scarf Pattern? on: February 07, 2010 08:34:09 AM
Yeah I was thinking about that, but I wasn't sure if it would be better to knit a long scarf then connect it, or knit in a circle? I will experiment but thanks for the suggestions!
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Circle/Tube Scarf Pattern? on: February 05, 2010 10:36:39 PM
I'm in the mood to knit a circle/tube scarf. Anyone know of any good patterns? I may experiment on some circulars, but I'm looking to make a longer style that can be wrapped around twice or worn on your head like a good (Think AA style but knitted) Any suggestions? Was going to try 2x2 ribbing on the edges and stockinette in the center but it seems kinda blah.

This is somewhat off but can someone tell me what size needles you need for this project? I don't have the book with me and I wanted to go to the LYS while I'm at my parents house and try to pick the needles up.

Wow your hats rock! I want to try to make these, but I'm pretty scared of cables and of making the bill part.

It looks like some people knit it with Caron Simply Soft, two strands held together. Hope that helps!

I took Cocoa Kitten's advice on using this yarn, I'm using two strands held together and so far its turning out pretty nice. It's a cheaper alternative which is good if your like me and this is the first non scarf/hat project your working on!

Changing the yarn is kinda scary for me too. Well, I've done it but for such a big project that needs a lot of yarn I didn't want to change it and have it not work out, but i've been working on skully now and im almost done with the front part and using the two strands of simply soft is working out great!

Wow, this looks great! I think I'm going to run out and try to make it with the yarn you used, I'm on a budget right now and I can't afford 7-8 skeins of brown sheep's yarn!
