What about sScratch and sniff paint-

What you need:
-Newspaper
-Several packets of unsweetened drink mix
-Small bowls
-Paint brushes
-Measuring spoons
-Spoons for mixing
-Pitcher of water
-White or light colored paper

What to do:
1. Ask the children to cover the work area with newspaper.
2. Prepare the "paint" by mixing  1 tbls of water with each flavor of drink mix in seperate bowls.
3. Invite the children to paint with mixes just as they would with any other kind of paint.
4. Let the paintings dry.
5. After the paintings have dried, have the children to "scratch the painting" to reveal the different scents.

Or bubble art, just add food coloring to bubble and have the children blow bubbles onto a piece of paper!

hey, ladies,

I'm in Kansas City too. I love to make purses, magnets, anything that is out of felt. I actually live right down the road from Hobby Lobby, which has tons of great sales, then on there is a Micheals, and the theirs also a Hancock Fabrics too, close by!
