21  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Alphabet ATC M, N, O on: December 01, 2006 07:41:26 PM
I got my M and N from TwiztidBlood and Chloeiscrazy!

M for Monkey-Monster and N is for Nest!

I also got a personal swap from twiztidblood, GHI:

Giraffe, Home, and Insects

I love them all, especially the cheeky monkey. Smiley And that cute little nest is 3D, it's beautifully painted wood.
22  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: New spice, umm rack, err holders, um spice container solution??? on: December 01, 2006 05:52:34 PM

That sounds pretty cool too, but be careful with the magnetic stuff around your computer!  Shocked
Maybe just make one wall magnetic...?

And thanks for the magnetic spice inspiration everybody!!!

The paint just makes the wall metal, not a magnet, and I think as long as one doesn't fall off and land on the computer, it should be fine. Smiley

Oh, how I love Lee Valley. I want to do this, but need to find some wall space...
23  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Venezia from Interweave Winter 06 by Eunny Jang on: November 30, 2006 12:16:26 PM
My LYS is doing a class for this sweater, with the registration fee you get all the yarn (so the fee varies by what size you're making) and I think 4 classes spaced enough apart that you should theoretically have time to get a good amount of knitting done inbetween them.
I would have loved to have done it, but on a project like that, I think I would end up so behind. Also, the price of the yarn, even though I'd be making a small size, would still be too much for my current budget.

One day I"ll make that sweater. Smiley
24  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Eunny Jang's End Paper mitts on: November 27, 2006 08:26:27 AM
I've bought the yarn for these, but haven't cast on yet. These are the colours I'm using:

I just started Knitty's Coronet for myself, I think I'll finish that first. It's -39C outside today, so I need a hat more than I need fingerless mitts. Also, I don't have needles the right size, and NO WAY am I going outside if I don't have to.

EDITED: because it always takes me two tries to get the pictures right. So forgetful.

haha it was quite fun knitting itty bitty blocks!
I can't believe you knit so tiny! I'd go insane!

I received my ATC today from my pal!! It's great, it's got tiny knitted swatches on.... now I just need to find the USB cord for my camera, I always lose it when I have stuff to show, too.
27  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Blackadder/Rowan Atkinson Swap? on: November 19, 2006 10:20:43 PM
I love the idea, but I also have to jump in to say:
Blackadder Goes Forth is the name of the fourth series of Blackadder (the one set in WW I).
Blackadder Back and Forth is the name of the TV special that came out for New Year's 2000. And yes, it does have Kate Moss. And Flashheart as... well, I wont' spoil it if people haven't seen it. Smiley
28  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Alphabet ATC M, N, O swap (sign up till 20 November or when swap full) on: November 19, 2006 06:06:00 PM
I made it!! I have my positive feedback now from my first swap. Count me in, if there's still space!

Can I be added to the catch-up list?
Not officially in this swap yet (still waiting for my other ATC to arrive, damn you Canada Post!) but will definitely join if not this leg, the PQR leg. Smiley
30  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Heartahedron ornament on: November 14, 2006 05:23:03 PM
That bag is my favourite thing EVER. Don't tell the boyfriend. Wink
It comes in different colours too, I got the brown/green, there was also brown/blue, brown/pink and all black. Green is pretty.
My local Michaels had a whole wall of them with the scrapbooking stuff, and it was originally $30 (Canadian).
