This is a good time to use the Magic Loop method! No DPNS and all those annoying ladders. It is simple, I don't know why it isn't recommended for everything.

Elann is wonderful. I used to live on the island, and I still got my stuff in 2 days! Probably because from Delta you can just throw it on to the ferry.

I'm thinking of Classic Elite Classic Silk, has anyone felt this yarn?

For some reason I really want to make this in Bamboo yarn (probably something to do with the Joni-Mitchell-tree-museum-connection), but they're all so expensive.

my grocery store sells giant rolls of butcher paper. It says "poly-coated brown paper" on the box. Is this freezer paper? The brand is Freezer King.

There's a series of books that are indeed just line drawings, that I love and want to buy.
The newest is called 4000 Pattern Motifs.
There's one called 4000 Animal, Bird and Fish Motifs, and another one called 4000 Flower and Plant Motifs.

They're all copyright-free line drawings, and the books are put out for crafters.

I found CraftMemo (Craftmemo.com) through this thread, and I just have to say that it is the greatest thing ever. Apart from maybe the running total of what all your stuff is worth. That's just scary.
I'm going to work hard this month to get all my stuff in to CraftMemo.

Apart from that, I print of internet patterns I want to make, and put them in a binder organized by type of thing (housewares, mittens/gloves, scarves/shawls, etc).

For Summer of Stash, I made an Excel spreadsheet that listed all my yarn, and then had it calculate how many kilometres of yarn I had in total. 8km. eek.

While I had everything out and was digging through it to make that spreadsheet, I took photos of all the yarn, with the pattern I wanted to use it for. If I didn't have a pattern I just took a pic of the yarn.

But now, it's all going in to Craft Memo.

Yay, glad you like the mime! I was stuck on M, and then I found that photo and just had to use it.

I love the hooded shrug, that's the pattern I'm going to make when I get the book.
I do have the Rowan with Butterfly, but I want that shrug. Too bad I won't have the time for a bit! So many other projects!
