Smiley Thanks! The mesh pattern was nice since I didn't have much yarn.
3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Two hats! on: January 13, 2010 04:39:05 PM
I seem to crochet in spurts... and it was the end of Christmas break... so I made two hats!

I used the same pattern for both: here

for the bow on the black one, I used the instructions for the bow here  and for the flowers on the white one, I used this one

I messed up a bit on the black one, but I like it anyway! Smiley

Hm. Okay, then. Is there any way I could fix the edging to make it match up with the end of the main project? Or would that just be a lot of experimentation? (Time to look for the mad scientist goggles and lab coat!  Wink)

You did a wonderful job with the matching! I love the little crystal flowers! They look so nice!
10  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Edging Question... on: July 14, 2007 09:24:15 PM
Hi, I just started crocheting and I have a question about edgings.

When you want to edge something, do you make the edging separately and then join it or can you just keep crocheting from whatever it is your working on? Like if you have a scarf and you want an edging do you have to finish it off?

I'm just asking because there's something I want to try with this edging:
http://crochet.about.com/library/weekly/aa042400.htm but I don't know how to make it join with the original project (which is another clutch...)
. Herm. Did that question make any sense?

Thanks in advance!
