In the midst of winter depression, I was looking through magazines and decided to start cutting.  I cut tiny little pieces of everything I found remotely interesting.  I arranged these bits and decoupaged them to the backs of Rummikub tiles.  (plastic game pieces about one inch by one and a half inches)  I let them dry over night and then sealed them with diamond glaze.  I plan to glue some kind of metal loop to the back so I can string them up.  I really enjoyed the process of making them and I wanted to see if anyone else found them interesting....

I'm a little scared to start this thread because I am such a spinning noob.  Here are a couple of simple single plied ones.  I'm sorry I didn't name them... maybe I could get some ideas from you folks.  These are merino and I dyed them myself.

Hi!  I have messed around with beaded necklaces for awhile, but this is the first time I've actually posted something.  The pendant looked kinda cheap on it's own so I added a little leaf to dangle in front of it. 

I'm really stoked about this yarn I made.  I hand painted some merino roving.  I spun it up and plied it.  Kinda rainbowey.  Really chunky.

Steph blue--I have a kiwi as well.  It looks like you haven't done anything to the wood yet--I didn't want to varnish mine, either, so I use oils to keep it hydrated.  It's a good idea to put some kind of something on the wood, so that it doesn't crack or anything.

Your yarn looks lovely!  I am also curious as to what the fiber is.

I really wish I could keep my wheel unfinished, but I asked the husband and he said we would have to stain it or something.

Hi.  I'm Steph and I frequent the purse making board.  I just got this amazing wheel for Christmas from my husband.  I finally spun some yarn that looks like yarn!  This is my third attempt and I really wanted to share.  I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to post this on Friday.

Just plain old acrylic simply soft, but I won't hold it against them.  Still yummy.
