OoooooOOoooo!  Such cute things so far.  I like OTT swaps because I usually try something new, too!

My top in that photo is one of my favorite blouses, a Betsey Johnson.  My belt is just a super loooooooong string of pearlsknotted around my waist.
Shydeana, if you have blue shorts, I think this would look cool in colours.  Maybe green ruffles on blue shorts?  Or hot pink, hahaha!

Hee hee!  Thanks for the comments, ladies!  I got my inspiration for these from those ruffley-ass panties.  I think they're too pretty to be hidden under pants, but I couldn't really wear them in public.

I made these for a girls night a while ago.  I just took regular short-shorts and added the ruffles on.  I made them out of different black fabrics and left the edges unfinished as I like the look.  They were a hit!  I even had a drag queen buy me a drink because she liked them so much!  I can't wait to wear them again, but it is getting cold here.  Cry

Comments welcome!
7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Candy pouch from omiyage - now with pictures on: September 22, 2006 11:16:10 AM
Beautiful!  I have this book, but I haven't made this particular pouch; it's a bit beyond me, I'm afraid!  I love the way it turned out.
8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Large vintage fabric Autumn tote! on: September 22, 2006 11:10:54 AM
So I bought this beautiful vintage fabric from a local thrift store about 6 months ago.  I knew I wanted to make a bag, but I decided to wait until my skill level rose to the point where I wouldn't botch it too badly.  I love the way it turned out!  I even took the time to topstitch the handles so they look all professional!
It has a squarish bottom and I lined it in a bright tealish green jersey fabric.  I wanted something large that I could use to tote all my stuff to work in: lunch, uniform and knitting.  It'll all fit now!  I even put a pocket in, but I couldn't get the pic to upload.  Undecided
The pocket is made of the flowery material.

Comments welcome!

Oops!  I forgot to put in my measurments, tee hee!  It's about 30 inches long, from the top of the handles to the bottom of the bag, and about 16 inches across.  HUGE!
