11  Rudolph, Grinch and Frosty felt ornaments in Winter Holidays by littlehajerika on: December 22, 2012 10:27:27 PM
I made these ornaments for the 12 Days of Christmas swap and LOVED the way they turned out! I designed them myself, based on pictures of the characters and made them out of craft felt.

I think Rudolph is my favorite!

And now for my wonderful package from my swap partner Sabrina/bsonlytoots!

All pretty before I opened them!

Something local: She sent me peanuts from the Tampa Bay Rays, pretty dangerous since I am from Baltimore!

Something green: She sent 4 lovely green fat quarters, my favorite is the neighborhood print on top!

Something vintage: Very cute, vintage McCall's pattern print fabric

Something tiny (under 2"): She sent these adorable bow bookmarks straight from my pinterest! and Something sharp: a travel sewing kit with lots of sharps inside. I already put this to good use hemming my boyfriends new suit pants for the wedding we are going to tonight!

Something round: The MOST EXCITING thing in the world! Two bags of old buttons!!! These are still making me smile!

Sender's choice: A cute picture frame, made with help from one of her daughters and a lovely Robert Kauffman apple print!

Extras! She sent all the extras she'd accumulated along the way! More fabric and some very cute paper ephemera!

Thanks Sabrina! You really spoiled me with the fabric on this one!

And Thanks rlynn for organizing! I had alot of fun with this swap!

I know my last partner, littlehajerika received a while ago, so I decided to post the bookmark I made for her. She likes vintage inspired, so that was what I was going for.  Wink

Monique- I'm SO sorry that I hadn't already posted the picture, time just got away from me. But, I LOVE this bookmark! You totally got the vintage inspired vibe! I will probably hang it on the inspiration board that I am working on instead of using it as a bookmark though because the picture and colors are so lovely! Thanks!

Sorry it took me a day to get these pictures taken! franknhurter did a great job!

She made me a very large fabric basket which I plan to use to hold fabric scraps for easy transport. Here's a picture of the basket FULL of vintage sheet scraps! Please excuse the horrible ambiance, I sew in the basement!

And she made me a lovely fascinator from my etsy favorites! Decorated with some great broken vintage jewelry!

Thanks Erin! I love both of them!

19  Re: Frugal Living 4: Frugal is the NEW BLACK! Gallery in The Swap Gallery by littlehajerika on: May 08, 2011 08:26:55 PM
Whew! I received from bookstorebabe on Friday but haven't had a chance to take and post pictures until tonight. She did awesomely with recycling materials!

Here is everything:

Here are the plant markers (recycled from the lid to a container for her recycling) and a rainbow maker, but I think this also might be good for keeping deer and hopefully rabbits away from my plants, so I think I am going to use it for that:

Next is a record bowl!, upcycled watering can (I really like the decoration from an Arizona Iced Tea container) and homemade laundry detergent! She also included alot of information about making your own. You can also see part of the blue and red shopping bag that she made me out of the fabric from an old umbrella! Which was really smart!

The last handmade item was this decorated pot for growing my own ginger! And some ginger root, which got a little moldy on the trip so I have to read if I can still use it  Undecided

She also sent me some reusable open weave burlap-type fabric bags, which I think would be awesome for hunting morels, which I've done a few times this year!

Thanks Linda!

20  Re: Geocaching / Letterboxing Gallery! (Send Outs 5-14-11) in The Swap Gallery by littlehajerika on: May 05, 2011 08:58:52 PM
Get ready to be JEALOUS!

Here is everything together!

I will start with the Geocaching Log, because it's my favorite! She handmade the book and every page in it is different! Each page is painted with watercolors, hand written! and decorated differently!

Here is an inside view:

Next, is the hiking/geocaching/letterboxing/whatever I want! bag:

I love the inside batik fabric, especially with the smart interior water bottle pocket to keep my bottle upright, so SMART!

Then there are the TWO caches that she made:

And all of the swag, she made 4 adorable bookmarks and 22! Woodburned keychains with the Geocaching logo and a swag bag made to match the other bag:

Thank you SO much Erin, you spoiled the heck out of me! Sorry curiousfae, I don't know if I can compete with this!
