3  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Cat Box ~ The good kind :) on: April 14, 2007 03:05:14 PM
I made this for my 2 cats.  It can also be flattened so they can sit on top.  I used some corduroy I got at the thrift store and lined it with  fleece.  So far the favorite use of the new box is for one cat to sit in it, then the other can jump on top.

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I've taken a long break from sewing anything and these are my first 2 attempts.

I made the skirt by following the directions on how to make an A-Line skirt from "Sew What!".  It's made from a stretching sparkle denim. I used a red thread to sew the hem for contrast.  I did a draw string waist line cuz it's simple.

Skirty Goodness

The shirt is a fake wrap that I made from a Simplicity pattern.

Thanks for looking.  Smiley
8  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Discussion and Questions / Help! What is amigurumi? on: December 26, 2005 06:09:11 PM
It's been awhile since I've looked at any crafty sites and I used to crochet a bit.  I was looking around and saw all the little amigurumi animals and such.  What actually makes something amigurumi?  I tried to google it, but just found links to patterns/books/etc.   I think they are adorable - but now I want to know what it means.

Thanks!
