What are those, you ask?  Why, they are FACE-EATING TUMOURS!!!  From my fave TLC-trainwreck-illness special.  Anyway, more specifically, they're barettes.  My hair is just a little too short right now, but I am so growing it out.  I estimate I'll be able to use my tumours in about a month

I was SO going to make it for sending tonight...and then someone at work offered me $50 to stay late and see her client (coworker is sick).  I seriously make about $8 an hour after taxes, but that's what I get for working in a mental health non-profit.  I do love the job--and an extra $50 goes a loooong way.  But it does cut into my last-minute-fixes time, making it impossible for me to get to the post office before it closes.  I'll have no problem making it to the post office tomorrow, though.  And my dc# will be sent as soon as I can after, but I volunteer until 9pmk after work, so it may be around that time.  

I hope to be able to send tomorrow, but I will for sure send by Wednesday.  I just have a few things to finish up, and will craft like a madwoman tonight!  I had a hard time paring down my ideas, and then I had a really great idea, but realised it was more in-theory great than in-practice great.  So boo.  But no worries, the package will leave Chicago in a timely manner.  And even though Chicago is rated to have the worst mail service in the country (especially intra-city.  I once mailed a letter locally, and it took ten days to get five miles), all my previous swaps have gotten to their destinations pretty quickly.

I'm glad you liked everything, Janelle!  I saw you had a few pleated bags on your wists, so I thought I'd try it out--now I need to make myself one because I liked yours so much!

Offering a very belated congrats to chilledsoup!  I LIVE in Chicago, so we'll have to get together when you get here!  I can show you around!  There are tons of great fabric places.  I just moved here in October, and I'm still in love.  Best city ever.

As for my crafting...the planning is done, and the crafting shall commence shortly.

Everyone's packages look great!  I've been carrying the bag that moecantsew made me, and I have gotten SO many compliments.  The bag is just the right size, too.  I can fit my clipboard and paperwork in it along with regular purse things like my wallet, book, etc.  I love it so much!

I'm so excited to start crafting for my partner!  I stagger my swaps two weeks apart, so I'm always stalking/thinking, but I have at least two weeks of full crafting for each swap.  Right now I'm finishing my crafting for another swap, but I've already started my detective work...

And an update:  I sent last week for the other swap I had, so I've been planning and collecting materials all week.  This weekend I plan to start crafting, and I should be more than ready to send by the send date.
