you can try to follow this tutorial if you're interested. it's for a tiny book but its the same stitch. i think it's called the long stitch?  i didn't use ribbons though.

the title of the book is the devil's bride. i've never heard of it but i liked the color of the book.

thanks for the comments! i used acrylic paint for the flowers and micron pen for the leaves.

it's an old book i got at the salvation army. i bought drawing paper to fit the book as closely as it could. then i cut the extra off, sewed the pages together, then i drew/painted the flowers on!

i like it a lot! its very stylized and clean and wonderful! i dont know how much you could ask for it but i'd definitely buy it. it looks like it could be turned into a pattern.
