1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / school tote bag on: September 07, 2007 08:57:02 PM
a person I work with wanted a tote for her daughter for school. She chose the fabric and the schools mascot is the huskies. It's got a 10" round bottom that I used peltex for. The solid fabric is canvas, the paw print fabric is plain calico cotton.I made the little bonus wallet and the small pyramid bag (such a great idea from craftster tutes!)from the scraps. Thanks to my Mom and her cool embroidery machine for the letters!
2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Anyone have a Bind-it-all machine OR Zip e mate cutter? on: July 19, 2007 10:39:10 PM
I think I want one of these bind it all machines(it punches holes for wire binding like on books-but it's rather narrow only about 6 holes wide) I can get it for regular price about $60 but have a discount coupon. Has anyone got one? Do you like it? Is there something better out there?
The other cool tool I heard about was a Zip e mate cutter-it seems to be like a sizzix or Quickutz but I'm not sure if it works the same. Any help?
THanks so much for any ideas or help!
3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Discussion and Questions / New scrapbooker so don't go DUH! What's a crop? on: May 10, 2007 05:52:56 PM
I am lucky enough to live near several scrapbook stores. They have classes or meetings or something called crops. So can someone tell me what the heck is a crop? (Haha don't say corn, oats, beans & taters!)
4  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / applique mantle topper Ho Ho Ho on: December 07, 2006 06:39:50 PM
I finished this cute Santa Mantle topper-It's from a book called Art to Heart Hollyberries & peppermint(or something along that line) I changed the end-added an extra santa- so it would work on my mantle

It was fun finding all the different fabrics for the beards, mustaches & hats.
5  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Quilt binding help- 1 way 2 go on: August 06, 2006 03:28:04 PM
Here's a link to Nancy's notions-it shows a nice way to apply binding to quilts. I do it backwards though-I sew the binding to the wrong(back) side and fold it forward over the frontside of the quilt so when I topstich I'm stitching on the front of the quilt and can make sure it looks nice.

6  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / sock monkey baby quilt on: August 04, 2006 01:20:40 PM
I finished this baby quilt and just loved the sock monkey fabric. The brown fabric on the edges, looks like the knit of a sock but it's all quilt cotton. The polka dot in the 1st pic is the back of the quilt folded over.
