Did you embroider the 'huskies' by machine? (turns green with envy)
Yes, I'm poor but my Mom has the Bernina Artista embroidery machine, so whenever I go to her house i get to use it. It's wonderful!
17  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Re: what the heck is wrong with my sewing machine?!?!?! on: September 07, 2007 09:11:53 PM
I hope you still have a few wits left by now!
Is that the right bobbin? Have you pulled it out to make sure the thread path is clear? Is the needle thread threaded correctly?
I usually pull everything out and start from scratch when these crappy things happen. Good luck!
18  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Help - recon tee with collar ideas on: September 07, 2007 09:06:54 PM
I'd head to the local goodwill or 2nd hand store and remove an already made collar and add it to the t shirt. Maybe a bit of embroidery or embellishment on the collar too?
19  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: cross-bodice help required..urgent on: September 07, 2007 09:04:31 PM
If you are really just top stitching then it's probably only decorative. I really don't understand what you mean but You can always rip it out if you don't like it!

you also might search for treadle sewing machine and see if folks have any tips. We had a treadle machine when I was a kid-very fun, but no reverse, only forward as fast as you tread! Be sure and put in a new needle too.
