I plan on finishing my shrine tomorrow. The weekend got eaten by hubby job hunting, me getting my school supplies, getting my youngest everything she needed for starting a new preschool, and our car dying. So tomorrow I am going to work on finishing the shrine.

Wow...stunning. Your stitches are so tiny and neat I thought it was a pen and ink illustration from the thumbnails.

Thank you Ronda and DanniQueen!

I will send you both pm's shortly! Smiley

In other shrine-y news I got to get new brushes when I bought my paints today.  Turns out all the brushes I had were animal hair, and given my partner is vegan, I bought a set of synthetic brushes to use on her shrine, I wouldn't want stray hairs getting trapped in the paint.  Grin

My hubby goes with to assure that I actually have a plan for what I am buying.... something about when I got a sewing machine and went on a fabric binge and the didn't use 90% of it because it wasn't what I *needed* for my project and the yarn.

I managed to sneak off to the store alone today and came back with a vision, a plan, and supplies!  Now I just have to go by the Texas Art Supply store - the paints!  Dear goddess the paints! Oh and then the bead shop, and Lucia's - the sweet little witchy shop 6 blocks away. Smiley

Is there anyone who would be willing to let me bounce my idea off of them?  I want to surprise my partner, but I am new to shrine making, and I worry that my design is too plain.

I found the perfect base.... or rather my hubby found it and brought it to me in despair of getting out of the craft store. Now I just have to finalize my design and begin. I am one of those plan it to death people, even though I have a fairly simple aesthetic.

10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Raven Domino Necklace on: August 16, 2009 10:34:44 AM
Very nicely done! The beads on the necklace are iridescent seed beads and bone beads?
