1  Doctor Who and TMBG! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by almostascone on: April 24, 2008 10:05:15 PM
For months, I lacked inspiration and motivation to make stuff, but I finally got around to doing things, thanks to They Might Be Giants and Doctor Who.

(sorry for the big pics!)

So, first off... for those unfamiliar with TMBG, they do a weekly podcast showing videos for their kids songs, hosted by puppet versions of themselves. I love them, especially John Linnell, so I made myself a Puppet John Linnell plush!

Then, this past weekend, I decided I absolutely needed a 10th Doctor of my very own to snuggle.

I already have several friends begging for Doctors of their very own!

Aww, they make me so happy.

Okay, here goes! (Sorry the pictures are a little fuzzy... and huge)

First off, a beautiful crocheted Tardis!

Then, a journal with a weeping angel, and Don't Blink on it!

And a DALEK! <333

Everything together, plus candy! I looooove getting candy I can't find in the states! Awesome!

Thank you so much sarantha! I'm so happy.  Cheesy

roxybadoxy received the surprise I sent her!

I sent a stretchy chainmaille necklace, a key necklace (not pictured), and three zebra-patterned duct tape cuffs!

Yay! I'm glad you like it. I was worried the armwarmers wouldn't fit because I started them before I got your measurements...

Here's one of the armwarmers, until she finds more pictures... I swear took more, but I can't find them!

Dress is finished. I'm not sure whether I want to add white trim on the bottom or not...

Again, this was made out of scraps of t-shirt leftover from previous projects, inspired by my new crazy lasandri hat, and it just so happened to match...

Hat and dress modeled by my bed

Dress on me!

Hat AND dress together!

I didn't have any brown shirts (the very bottom part) around, so I went thrifting and found one. It was so soft, I was almost sad to see it chopped up!

10  Introducing... WRISTCOOLERS in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by almostascone on: July 17, 2006 05:36:59 PM
Today, the kids that I babysit and I made armwarmers out of old t-shirts. Today was also 96 degrees, hotter than it's been all summer.

So, I was inspired...

Introducing... WRIST COOLERS!

On me...

Sewn on directly above the vein is a pouch packed full of uncooked rice. Freeze the whole wristwarmer, and put it on to cool yourself down!

Flat...

(Yes, this is a recon. I used scraps from an old tie dyed tee.)
