1  Re: Show Off Your Hair! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by StBarbarella on: November 25, 2007 01:58:51 PM
Ooooh, I finally get to post in the hair thread!

Having decided to go to University at the ripe old age of 27, I can now re-live my youth by dying my hair stupid colours!

Now I'm bored of short hair (needs getting cut too often, and clashes with my need to dress like a boy too), I'm hoping that dying it all the colours avaliable in the Stargazer range (cos that's what's avaliable locally, and it's cheap) will keep my ammused and stop me getting my hair cut before it reaches past my shoulders.

Here's Hot Pink + Magenta:

And when that had faded to dirty pink (took about a month) and I had 0.5" roots, I bleeched it all again and went turquoise:

It's alright, but not blue enough (it's far more green than in the picture). I also dislike the fact that I get green nails ever time I scratch my head!

2  The String Doll Gang - A question... in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions by StBarbarella on: January 07, 2007 04:51:22 AM
Has anyone figured out how to make these?

They look simple, and me and a friend have had a few goes, but I was just wondering if anyone had a sure-fire way of making them!

3  Vinyl Retro Nintendo DS Case in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by StBarbarella on: August 05, 2006 09:49:12 AM
I've been lurking on this site for ages, and finally I actually finish something I can post  Grin

It's a case for a Nintendo DS, made from vinyl, made for a friend. It took me about a day, and my fingers are very very sore after sewing through several layers of vinyl!

I'm very pleased with the end result, though the front is a bit dull and black, but by the time I'd finished it I was too exahusted! I wish I had machine sewed some of it, but my friend said he liked the 'home-made' feel of it  Wink
