Hey nmyer! Do you still need hairdo help? I'm sorry I just now saw your post; my work blocked craftster, so I'm barely on here these days.

Hi Starr, the  ribbon is attached to the font/side edge. It wraps around and then closes on the front again with Velcro.

Hi everyone!

I am so sorry it has taken me so long to get photos uploaded to this gallery. My work recently blocked Craftster (how dare they!!), so it's been a slow-going process. Here are photos of a few of the things I sent Miss Barbara.

First up, the water bottle:

Miss Barbara loves all things orange and needed a water bottle that will clip onto a tote bag so that she can take it to and from work. I chose an Amy Butler print in Barbara's favorite color, made the base as big as the largest bottle I had in my house and made the body just as tall, too. The top has a drawstring closure, and the side has a grosgrain loop that can be attached to the:

Oversized Reversible Tote:

Miss Barbara not only loves the color orange; she also adores cherry blossoms. So, I found two cherry blossom-inspired prints in the color scheme she would like (gray is Alexander Henry and the buttercup side is Joel Dewberry). But, I fell in love with both prints and couldn't decide which should be the focus of the bag. So, the bag turned into a reversible project so that she could enjoy both prints at her own accord. There is a green silk ribbon trim along the edge, and 4 deep buttoned pockets. There is also a place on each side for the water bottle to be clipped onto the handle and still have support and not make the bag's top edge sag.

And the last things I have pictures of are the Tea Wallets. Miss Barbara asked for tea wallets in any shade of green. So, I created two wallets that hold 6 tea packets each. They close with a silk ribbon that Velcros shut.

And that's all I took pictures of. I completely forgot to take pictures of the Cloisonne turtle earrings I made her, and the adorable turtle coin purse and frog eraser I got her in Chinatown. Because she loves all things class and fairies, I got her a clear glass tea mug with a built-in glass strainer inside and "Fairy Blooming" teas.

I still need to upload the photos of the amazing things she sent me. I'm having to upload them one at a time, and there are QUITE A LOT!

HOORAY!!!!!!! I am so glad you enjoyed your package, Miss Barbara!

I just realized that I left my camera with the swap pics in it at my office. I will upload pics of the things I made you ASAP on Tuesday when I get back. And tomorrow I will get pictures of the AMAZING things you created for me and upload them to the gallery. Miss Barbara completely spoiled me with her truly wonderful talents. I cannot thank you enough!!!!!!!!

I debated on putting this in the Halloween thread since I made this for Halloween last year, but since I will be wearing it to ComiCon, too, I figured this would be the better place.

This is a costume I made for myself last year to duplicate the look of Rachel the Replicant from the movie Blade Runner. She was originally played by Sean Young, and had many great costumes to chose from in the film. I ended up setting on this ensemble. For those of you who haven't seen the movie, an image of Sean Young is here:

I drafted the patterns and made the whole thing from scratch. My only regret is that I didn't make the shoulder pads even bigger. In person they seemed HUGE, but in photos they actually don't seem so large and in charge.

I got my fabulous friend to do my hair up in those glorious victory rolls. I wish she was available to do that every day.

I convinced my friend do dress up at Pris (another replicant from the movie), and no one recognized us all night. It was slightly depressing, but a guy did yell from across the street as we were getting into a cab at the end of the night. He screamed "F&C$ YEAH! BLADE RUNNER!!!!"  Totally made my night.

We had absolutely no clue that Rocky Horror was standing next to us (keep in mind that I'm 5'9" and was in 4" heels. He may have been the tallest man in panties I had ever seen.

Sent my package out today! Whew! I hope Miss Barbara likes her things! This was my first swap, and I absolutely loved it.

I also received the most wonderful package last week from Miss Barbara. I'll take pictures this weekend to post. It's so hot in here right now, the thought of putting hats and scarves anywhere near me makes me want to combust. If there was an emoticon for a head on fire, I would put it right [here].
