I received a "learn to knit" kit today from PinkMafia

She sent some yarn, two pairs of knitting needles and a cd with knitting patterns on it! I can't wait to learn how to knit so that I can make the cute knitted things all you Craftsters make! Thanks again, PinkMafia!

I received today from VW69! She sent me not one, but TWO craft-themed necklaces and an additional charm that is just my style! It was so exciting to open this package and I tried the necklaces on right away!

One of the necklaces is beaded with a scissor charm. The other one has a little charm with tiny buttons on it. It's adorable! The other charm has a mod design on it and I love it!

Here's a shot of me wearing the necklace with the scissor charm. It's so cute! Plus, it draws your eye away from the yogurt stain I just got on this shirt! Smiley

VW69 was such a great communicator and totally fulfilled my wish! Thanks so much!

Faeriegirlie pm'd me yesterday to let me know that she had received, so I thought I'd post pics of a few of the items I put in her package. She requested wrist pin cushions, so I made three for her. One is magnetic, one is woven and the other I just made with felt. I also made a needlebook for her.

Pictures of the cards I made along with some decorated candleholders can be found here. (http://www.flickr.com/photos/92449019@N00/sets/72057594068963489/)

I also sent along some tags she can use, a sewing magazine and a craft book. I don't have any pictures of the whole package all together, so hopefully Faeriegirlie will post one later.

I received from Raindrops yesterday. She sent me a cute little painted box that I'm going to use to store some of my rubber stamps. She also send along two rubber stamps, two pieces of fabric (one plaid, the other with a sewing notion pattern on it), and a skirt pattern. Now I'm excited to get to work sewing and to use my new rubber stamps! Thanks so much, Raindrops!

Tonight I was spoiled rotten by kiki_eks because I got the most amazing swap package. It was full of fabric and thread. She also included a pattern, a pin cushion, pins and more. I'm so motivated to improve my sewing skills and work with all of this fabric. My favorites out of the fabric was a green one with white elephants on it! Thanks again, kiki_eks!

I received this amazing geometric painting from Daydreamer13579 today! I love it! I can't wait to get it up on my bare white walls! Thank you so much, Daydreamer13579! You made my day!

I received a handmade journal from kat_penguino today. How adorable is that cover? I love it. Thanks so much for your hard work, kat_penguino! I can't wait to scribble my thoughts down in this book!

Lasandri pm'd me to let me know that she received, so I thought I'd share pictures of what I sent her. She requested wool roving and I included two Harry Potter goodies as well.

The front of the shirt has a little crown stenciled onto it in the upper left.

A Gryffindor brooch: suitable for quidditch matches and for showing general house pride. Smiley

Hopefully Lasandri will post later with action shots of the shirt. Smiley

29  Re: ALL YEAR LONG CHRISTMAS CRAFTALONG 2006 in Craftalongs by bluelise on: January 06, 2006 12:24:57 PM
Here are the ornaments I made using the tutorial from http://www.allfreecrafts.com/christmas/card-ornaments.shtml.

I'm thinking about eventually having two trees each Christmas: one with storebought ornaments and one with crafted ones. So, this gave me a chance to start on the crafted one. Smiley

30  Gift for Gamers in Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage by bluelise on: January 05, 2006 11:39:51 AM
My husband loves computer and video games and he is notoriously difficult to buy gifts for because he buys everything he wants for himself. So, the trick is to figure out what he doesn't know he wants. Smiley

For his birthday this year I figured out a way to get him something he would want and cover up the bland white walls in our computer room. I framed a bunch of the commemorative maps that accompanied the collector's editions of some of the games he owns.

He loved them and now our computer room looks much better. I hope that this helps those of you shopping/crafting for gamers out there.
