CaptainRiley asked for odd/interesting little bits and pieces for making into jewelry and other crafts, so I sent her some from my stash and a bunch that I've picked up at various craft fairs, CraftyPromo, the Sampler, etc.

I hope you have fun fiddling around with all of it!

I received this amazing shadowbox from Phizzychick today and it's amazing! I literally stammered out "I love this." when I opened it. It's just what I wanted and I'm so impressed by Phizzychick's talents! Plus, this was the first swap package I've ever received from another country, so that made it even more special! Thanks so much, Phizzychick!

Here's the stuff I made for kittykill. First, a wristlet. I'd never made anything quite like it, so this one was actually my third go at it. I think it came out pretty well. Working with zippers was a trial, especially because it looks as though my sewing machine didn't come with a zipper foot. After all that, I still think it was fun to make and I'm planning on making more.

Kittykill had a vinyl cuff on her wist with the glue bottle on it. I didn't have access to any vinyl, so I used some black fabric I had instead and it was really fun to make. I love just sitting and stitching.

I received from hertrigger today!

It's a cute bag to go with the embellished towel she made me. It will be perfect to tote my towel, sunblock and a book to the pool or the beach. Thanks so much!

(It was the perfect day to receive a package. Not only is my grandma in the hospital and not doing well, but my husband's grandfather is also in the hospital with cancer and my brother just called to say his mother-in-law was just admitted to the hospital and they think her lung cancer treatment isn't working. I needed something to cheer me up.)

Hello, I sent out this package to ksta, and she pm'd me to let me know she received so I thought I'd post a picture of what I sent here. She asked for throw pillows to go along with her bed that has fabric similar to Indian saris. So, I made these three pillows (the first time I've ever tried making pillows) and this picture frame that I thought went along with the theme. I was so excited when I finished everything and ksta says they look great in her bedroom so that made me feel even better.

Thanks ksta, you were so much fun to craft for!

I received a fantastic package from mint this afternoon! Starting from the left, she sent a quilted bag (with fabric representing different Harry Potter characters), the beginning of a Gryffindor tree scarf and the yarn and knitting supplies necessary to complete it (I dream of a HP-themed Christmas tree.), a small pillow embroidered with one of my favorite Dumbledore quotes, a small bag, a dark mark ornament (!!!) and a Gryffindor bracelet.

You wanted a close-up of the embroidery, right? It's so cool! I shrieked when I saw the dark mark ornament. I love it. What a great way to start my Harry Potter holiday collection! Thanks so much, mint!

I was completely spoiled by hertrigger who sent me a fantastic package today! First, she made me a fantastic transferred shirt which was what I had wished for. Then she went completely above and beyond by making me an embellished towel (also on my list) and now I can't wait to run down to the pool with it! She also sent along tons of embellished bobby pins that all had neat charms on them. Ignore my frizzy hair in the picture and look how cute the bobby pin is and then multiply that by the plethora of pairs she sent me!

Thanks so much, hertrigger! You were an excellent partner who was super communicative and spoiled me rotten!

Here's a picture to hold you over until Mint can post more.

Basically, I set my package up as items that Harry's friends might send along with him as he goes off to hunt for horcruxes. Ron gave him the needleroll/ wand holder. Mrs. Weasley sent the yarn and the cloak/hat/costume pattern. Prof. McGonagall send the candles and candleholders to remind Harry of what Dumbledore said (in the movies). Hermione sent the bag (You'll need your books, Harry!) Oh, and Ginny send two Gryffindor pins that I forgot to put in this picture. Oh, and Dooby sent an eye shade to help Harry sleep peacefully. That's also not in this picture.

It was a lot of fun to come up with ideas and try new things for this swap. Mint was a great partner and a lot of fun to craft for.

I sent an angel package to Laural. According to the USPS she received the package on Monday, so here's what I sent. She requested t-shirts for her son, so I made two of them along with an apron.

Because I was an angel I wanted to really spoil her. I ended up having a few crafts crash and burn...I tried to paint glass bottles for "potions" but it turns out that I'm not that skilled at painting glass. Also, I painted some Harry Potter themed bookends for her, but when it came time to assemble them I ruined them. Gah! She had said that she really liked a decoupaged picture frame I'd posted pictures of earlier, so I made a Harry Potter themed one for her.

Then I threw in a set of handmade Gryffindor notecards for the fun of it.

I hope you liked all of it, Laural! It was a lot of fun to craft for you.
