1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / prom dress from hell! or maybe just the '70s on: June 03, 2006 06:50:26 PM
okay, so I am in love with this dress, I have been through so much with it. my fabric didn't arrive until about a week before the prom, and I had never sewn on silk before- let alone on two layers of it...but it turned out alright-and I am damned proud!
I am sideways:<br>
me and my gramma!(a better close up of the neckline)<brthe fabric was amazing: this branch-y pattern. it was a bee-otch to sew, but, it turned out pretty neat.
waddya think?
2  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / medium and a gimmick on: February 06, 2006 01:29:39 PM
I wasn't really sure what section to post htis question in, so if it doesnt fit, by all means remove it.
I have been chosen as president for a student government event at my school, and it is all in efforts to help beautify our building. The first step we are taking is painting the garbage cans.
First of all, most of them are that thick, resilient gray plastic, and I do not know what type of paint to provide.
second of all, I need a gimmick to draw people in, because even I, art department addict, do not want to paint a smelly garbage can...

HELLLP ME PLEEEAAASE!
