1  Birds and wood grain... ok, I'll play along... in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by heyleslee on: April 22, 2007 07:36:34 PM
After making bags for other people all weekend, I thought I should share the crafty love with myself.  I've had this fabric in my stash for a while and never thought much of it, but I pulled it out last night and really was blown away by how freakin cool it is!!  I get it, birds live in trees, but it looks more like they have made their home on a sheet of plywood!

Only 2/4 wooden rings match  Tongue, and the bottom fabric is covered with clear plastic/vinyl stuff. No fancy pockets or anything, and it closes with a magnetic snap.

Well, I am tired.  I have done so much crafting this weekend!!  Love it.  Have a good week.

2  Crisp Black and White Big Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by heyleslee on: April 21, 2007 09:08:43 PM
I have had this black and white fabric for ages; I think I got it at a thrift store.  It is super thin, so I put a layer of white fabric behind it.

I tried to match the print when I put in the piping... I think it looks pretty good!

Details shot... Mag snap...The green fabric is just for contrast...

Yay!

3  Corduroy Tote in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by heyleslee on: April 18, 2007 08:05:45 PM
Another bag for a coworker of mine! She needed a big bag for school; she was using one of those green bags from Whole Foods!

I love how piping makes things look so finished, but I do not care for the actual sewing with it part.

Yay!

4  The "Rachel": Mini-messenger in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by heyleslee on: April 18, 2007 07:41:58 PM
This bag is for a coworker of mine.  She was recently awarded Social Worker of the Year by the Sacramento Association for the Retarded. (I know, totally un-PC name!  Wink).  It is a messenger style bag in her favorite colors. I think it is a little sassy, just like her!

And the inside...

Yay! Thanks all!
