1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Tank Girl Swap?? on: April 09, 2008 03:51:15 AM
If only I had free time, I'd LOVE to be in this swap.

I've got 2 TG tattoos... and I have a bit of a thing for Jet Girl, to be honest.

Yeah, the people in my department loved it. My colleague's last day of work was Justin Timberlake Day, and he played the video for everyone (on his laptop).

I'm sure he'll always have fond memories of the person who made him a dick in a box. Hehe. Tongue

Okay, the first day I started work, I was shown this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQsBNZKQn6g

As you can imagine, it stuck in my memory.

And then, a few months later, my colleague (who showed me the video, it's our departmental gag) was leaving for another job, and I jokingly said, "Who's bringing the dick in a box?"

Which set off a brainwave...

(You need to have watched the SNL short, otherwise you'll just think I'm completely mental.)

It's really simple, but it made everyone laugh, so I hope Craftsters enjoy it too.
6  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Sweat Shoppe Round 10 Gallery on: September 22, 2007 04:01:52 AM
I definitely haven't received from brideofkniterstein and neither has she from me. We re-sent new packages, but still no dice so far. Not sure why the postal service won't allow us to swap. Undecided

If she's cool with just leaving it, I'm cool with it, too. It's up to her. I can try for a third time if she wants.

I'm going to sit this round out. I've only got some half-formed ideas for items, and my mum is visiting, so she takes priority. Cheesy

I wanted to say I posted the pics of what I've received so far, it's at the top of page 6! I'm 8/10 and loving it all.

I'm marking this place to post my pictures. I have received:

Photo cards from GatorWrangler; Placemat purse and rings from riario; Daisy pendant from LuxieLou; Clay pendant/necklace from kishcrafts; Metal bookmark from Saor; Sock monkey pincushion (sock monkey pillow) from igobylorib; bobby pins from sewknitter

Yay for the Internet working!

(My sock monkey has decided to use the pincushion as his pillow.)
10  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Sweat shoppe swap Round 10! (SSS 10) CLOSED! on: August 03, 2007 06:03:44 AM
I've only got 2 recipients left to go green. I've mailed 3 packages, and will go to the post office again on Monday for the remainder.  Grin
