Every girl DEFINITELY needs at least one shirt like this. I love how it turned out, seeing how huge the bugger was when you first started. Wink
I've got a couple of vintage aloha shirts I'd like to try this on. That'd be coo...
I didn't look through all 4 pages of replies, but did you post a tute?

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: I look like a curtain. A pretty curtain! on: April 04, 2006 03:26:20 PM
*stands and claps*
well done!
it looks really cute and i'd never be able to tell that it came from a curtain. it looks vintage, like 60s or 70s stuff.
yay! Smiley

please, please, please...a tute!
(not a toot!) Grin
i think the purse is very cool. i've been trying to figure out what to make from my pipe band's old uniform and a purse or a large bag might be just the thing.

you get about 483678858+ points for being in a bagpipe band. and another 50 for being the only female piper. it looks really cute, simple with nice details. and welcome to craftster (post-wise, at least)!
thanks! its fun being in a pipe band, but even more fun to come up with new ways every year, of changing it up a bit. Grin

i love the dress, but i love your boots more! Smiley
sadly, my climate isn't really the ideal one for a lot of boot wearing to do them justice.

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / my first "official" tshirt recon on: March 19, 2006 04:22:04 PM
i've been a big admirer of much of the work i've seen on these boards, but never had the courage to post any of the projects i'm working on. i'm not much of a seamstress but i'm creative, so most of my tshirt recons have had little or no sewing. (hurray for iron-on hem, eyelets and hot glue!!! Grin)
every year that my bagpipe band has gotten a shirt for our st.patty's day gig at the local pub, i've modified it to suit my taste. (i'm the only female piper.) the other pipers may think that i'm just one of the guys, but i don't think i have to LOOK like one of the guys.
so here's my shirt for this year. i don't have a before picture, but it was a regular MED crew neck shirt. i'm new with posting pics, so i hope this works. its in the craftster member galleries. i hope you like it. any feedback would be appreciated  Smiley
