1  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Amelia Raitte's "My Fashionable Life" Knit A long on: February 27, 2007 11:12:06 AM
Huh. Something must have been changed between my copy of Flicca and yours, judiper...mine has the back armhole depth 0.5" shorter for the smaller sizes, too.

Glad you like the cardigan!:-D

The difference between the front/back armhole depth on Flicca isn't a mistake. If you add in the depth of the back neck shaping (approx. 0.5") you'll find they come out the same.

There are three lighter ones that I can remember offhand: the red puff-sleeve cardigan, green tie-front short cardigan, and the open mohair wrap.

You can do a 38" (finished) sweater with 2 skeins, assuming it's not super long.

Morty the Hedgehog! *dies* I used to have a car named Morty.

Too damn cute.
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Cowichan Sweater Help on: October 07, 2006 07:23:41 PM
<i>Salish Indian Sweaters</i>, by Priscilla Gibson-Roberts. Currently out of print, but probably available via interlibrary loan. I hear a revised edition is coming out in 2007.

Failing that, there's a section on Cowichan sweaters in <i>Knitting in the Old Way</i>, same author, definitely in print.

Sorry for crappy pic.
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: a simple fitted sweater. is that too much to ask? on: October 03, 2006 03:09:22 PM
Will you hate me if I pimp my own (free) pattern?

Alice. Without the colorwork, it's really the most basic, fitted sweater.

You should also try Phildar pattern magazines. You can order ones with English translations from some Canadian yarn sites.
