31  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Pretty in Pink Knitted Tank on: May 23, 2006 06:15:03 PM
This is a tank top that I knit using pink variegated sugar and cream cotton yarn. I made my tank in a size small. The sizes in the pattern are from XS to an XL. If you need to make it bigger the pattern is really easy to adjust.

If anyone makes this let me know if there are any errors in the pattern. http://deliciousstitches.blogspot.com/2006/05/pretty-in-pink-tank-pattern.html I hope you like it. Smiley
32  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Finally on etsy but need help! on: May 22, 2006 08:07:27 AM
I finally opened my store on etsy but can't figure out a few things. I signed up with paypal but cant get it started. Do you have to have a checking account? I have a savings account and I signed up at my bank for a checking account over a week ago and am just waiting for them to send me my stuff. I don't quite understand how paypal works or etsy for that matter.
On etsy they say that they take a certain percentage of what your item sells for. Do they take that off of the credit card that you use to sign up?
What happens when I sell something. Will the person who buys it have all of their mailing info their for me to send out their stuff?
If they send me a check for the item should I wait until the check clears to send them their stuff?
33  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Do you Copyright? on: May 18, 2006 06:56:07 AM
My mom keeps telling me that I need to have my designs copyrighted because she thinks that some big company or something is going to steal my designs. My question is do any of you have your stuff copyrighted, and can you give me some advice about how it works? Also I've heard of this thing called Creative Commons, does any one use that? Heres a link to their site http://creativecommons.org/ I'd really appreciate some quick responses as I am going to be selling my stuff in just a few days. Smiley

36  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / TRADEMARK on: January 18, 2006 01:53:03 PM
I just went onto the trademark website and they are charging $325 to trademark your company. That seems like a very unreasonable amount seeing as the say when you read on that your trademark has to be renewed in 5 years. Is there any other ways to make sure that no one else is able to use your company name without having to have it trademarked. Does anyone here have there business name trademarked?
