1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Hippy Swap Round 3 - Gallery of Hippy Happiness! on: July 14, 2009 07:04:20 PM
Hey you guys, I hope you don't mind ozarkcat, but I went ahead and moved your pictures to the gallery. Smiley  The text is quotes is what she wrote in the original post. I hope you enjoy the cloak, Ozark. It was well loved for many years. It was hard to pass on, but the thought of it sitting in my closet was so sad!

"
Received from n u l l g a l
Here's everything except the cloak - a beautiful patchwork skirt, tee shirt from my wists, two shopping bags w/Celtic knotwork, a great headwrap, barrettes, notecards, and some great recycled pencils:"

"She passed along an AMAZING cloak - I'm guessing she found some of the medieval stuff I do . . . "

"The tee-shirt is one I had on my wists! The print is actually upside-down on the tee-shirt, but have put it upright here for easier reading:"

"She apparently saw that I'm a Stargate fan, too, since I just got done with a Stargate swap - also sent some great button barrettes along, which'll work great with my long hair:"

"And here's the detail on the Celtic knotwork on the two shopping bags she sent:"

"Thank you Amanda!! This is amazing! Lisette (DD) has already run off with the pink shopping bag and one of the barrettes"

I like to collect:
anything owl related, pez dispensers, and tea stuff

The animal/insect/arachnid/plant/etc that I think best represents me and my personality would be a (because):
cactus. cool to look at, but i can be sharp. also, i require very little water

My favorite animal is: owls and turtles

If I were in a totally white room (white walls, floor, ceiling, no doors or windows) I would feel:
cold. but refreshed as there would be no crayon marks on the walls

My favorite types of music/bands:
mostly anything. dont tell anyone, but im kind of a closet country music listener

I can play/want to learn how to play (instruments):
i cant play jack, nor do i really have the desire to learn. but my husband plays the upright bass.

I do/do not like festivals because:
ive never been to one, but i would more than likely have mixed feelings. i would enjoy the sites but hate the heat and crowds.

I want to learn how to (make):
id like to dabble in resin and weaving. especially weaving.

I really wish someone would make me a:
a new life.  no really, i have no preference for anything in particular.

I can't stand the color/pattern:
baby prints, neons

But I absolutely love:
earth and ocean tones

I am never without a:
my iphone. its a sickness. and im usually never lacking my toddler, either

My favorite time of year/holiday is: spring. warm enough for sweaters but you can wear shorts too. love it.

My favorite weekend activity is:
hammock time.

I absolutely totally can not stand:
people who are rude or unyielding and people who dont rsvp

Three things I would want to take with me to a deserted island (no you can not pick people):
firesteel, knife, hammock

Person I would want to take with me to a deserted island:
my husband

If I could live anywhere it would be:
im pretty comfortable right here, id like to visit lots of places though.
9  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / one more black apple on: June 11, 2009 02:18:41 AM
A black apple that I made my niece for christmas. I like her little pigtails and sleepy eyes. The toddler i gave it to carries it around telling people, "shhh, amanda doll is sleeping!"
