These are awesome! And I really love the idea of PacMan ones, too! Must make some!

Both Manolo and Carrie (Sarah-Jessica Parker) would be proud - those shoes look fantastic!! Definitely better than before!

This is awesome... I'd love to hear more about how you did it.

Unfortunately I do not have that book. :-( Cannot wait to see how both of yours works, though!

You should check and see if your local library has it (assuming you have a local library).  I've checked that book out many times from mine.

There is no library here that I know of. And the closest one (about an hr away), I have looked at all the knitting books in it, and I don't recall ever having seen this title. They only had a few knitting books.

Did anyone see the Knitsimple Holiday preview? That first picture looks like an interpretation of this pattern, minus the cables on the body (which could be more to the taste of anyone who's worried that all the bulk on the body would be very unflattering or too warm). I think it's a really cute modification, although the heavily cabled versions are still so striking!

Here's a link to the one I'm referring to:

But I have no qualms about adjusting the pattern to have set-in sleeves.

How do you adjust a raglan to have set in sleeves instead? I bought this pattern before I realized it was raglan, and I am really interested in learning to do this, as I share your reasons for allegedly looking awful in a raglan. There's another pattern I'd love to convert to set-in sleeves as well, so I would really appreciate anyone who could point me out to a source or maybe explain it themselves. :-)

Beautiful! It's very elegant and looks great in that color. It's lovely on you. :-)

Oh, me! I just moved here in May. I'm in Hammond, but in Mandeville on the weekends.
