This really does belong nowhere else. XD

Along with four of my classmates last winter did this for Culinary Showpieces. (I graduated from culinary school, btw.)

It was huge!

I always admire when people take something and make it into something else- I'd be confused with all the bits. Great job!

I think the colors are great! It looks like something you'd get from a makeup counter as a promo item, but better. Smiley

That is ONE cool plaid there! Very mod. Smiley

Good job, I say!

I had a friend who was the Mad Hatter for Halloween, she made a teapot purse. Smiley

I posted this question on Yahoo! answers, and someone said the same thing about the spa. Only thing is, we'd have to find a place that'll sell us a certificate over the phone or on the internet, since I'm not sure if any of us are going to be driving to NC and therefore have a car to get to the spa.

Again, same with the wineries, I'm not really familiar with the area, so I'd have to do research! Thanks for the suggestion. Smiley
If you don't have a car to drive yourselves to the spas, that would be a shame.  But I would think if you found a spa you liked, you could sign up for treatments, without requiring a (gift?) certificate.  Just make an appointment, and pay that day.  You girls pay for the bride that day too, if that's the route you were expecting.  Or poll your money (with cash from each party member) before you enter the spa, and one person is responsible for paying at the end.

As for the wineries, there appear to be LOTS in NC!  http://www.ncwine.org/wineries.html

And it looks like craftster has a resident wine expert in the house.   Tongue

Come to think of it, we'd have her car, which would be funny- "Hey, Kris, you have to drive us somewhere..." XD Of course we'd pay for her. Smiley

Thanks for the link! You've been very helpful!

You could also find a spa nearby her house or wedding site, and all go as a group to get treatments done.  Manicures, pedicures, and massages will be heaven once the wedding is that close.  Even if you don't want to spend money on a spa place, even a nail salon for mani's and pedi's would be fun.

You could also rent a hotel room for a night with all the girls.  Either use it to "stay in" -- playing cards, watching fun movies, and gossiping.  Or else paint the town red and have a place to crash that night, away from the men.

Are there any wineries in North Carolina you could visit?  In central Texas, we have quite a few, and as a girl's day out, my friends and I rented a limo which toted us around to two wineries, while we snacked on pastries, sandwiches, fruit, mimosas, and wine.  It was one of the funnest girls day outs I've ever had!

The girls night out sounds great! Or maybe do a girls night in where you all cook a dinner together? Maybe make only foods in her color theme? hehehe i did this to a girlfriend once for her shower, it is fun finding foods that stay the original color! LOL

How about a hand made deck of cards??...you could add recipes as the backs of them? Or maybe some funny quirks about married life?

bring some magazines, a couple bottles of wine, some candles & alot of chocolate! Cant go wrong there! LOL

I can bet that having you all there will mean more to her than anything else tho, so whatever you decide to do, just give lots of hugs & have fun!! LOL

She's not big on cooking, really, though- and only one of us is married, so the quirks are out, since the other two of us have no idea what they are!

Hugs we can do, though. XD Thanks for the suggestions!
