I'm not sure how stable that would be even if it did work. Maybe if you treated it with a textile medium?

I do know that there is a textile medium called bubble jet set that allows you to put a treated piece of fabric through your printer (ironed onto freezer paper first). This image (if you follow the instructions) is then permanently set on the fabric. It isn't a transfer however.

embarrasingly enough I have sown though the tip of my finger and fingernail with a sewing machine when I was talking to my mother instead of paying attention  Undecided and the needle remained intact

I trace my patterns onto book covering plastic. The non-sticky kind. You can usually pick it up pretty cheap during back to school stationary sales. Its fairly durable and it makes it a lot easier to line up patterned fabric if you want to get it 'just right'  Wink
