alright. so. one more time. which way do i put the freezer paper in my printer? dull side or shiny side up?
Be sure to print on the dull side.
and i bought textile medium yesterday. i want to know what everyone really thinks of it? and it says that i should wait 7 days (after heat-setting it) to wash it. is that really necessary? would one day be ok
No need to wait 7 days to wash! I just wait 'till it dries, THEN HEAT-SET IT.MAKE SURE IT'S COMPLETELY DRY.
To heat set it with the iron 1.}peel off freezer paper from painted shirt, 2.}put piece of paper over image so as not to ruin your iron, and 3.}on appropriate heat setting for your fabric, move iron for 20 seconds over design. It is now ready to wash and wear!
any other tips/tricks/comments on either thing would be greatly appreciated. INSIDE SCOOP: you can use your freezer paper stencil more than once!!!Just be sure not to rip it... I used one stencil three times and I know I could use it again.
