1  Re: Easy Postcard Swap -- Round 2 -- Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by martmer on: November 09, 2006 06:22:40 AM
I received two postcards yesterday :

First one from gumshoegal from NC

She wrote me an urban legend: "Acid Park is in the town of Wilson NC.  The story says that a local girl named Valerie was driving drunk at about 1 am wrapped her car around a tree leaving her trapped in her car that caught on fire.  Her car is still wrapped around the tree.  On prom night around 2 am you can hear her screams"

Second one from starberrii from Australia

with very nice stamp

She Knew from my posts that I love the beach and wrote me very nice compliments.

Thank you guys for the postcards.  They make me want to travel!

I have recieved two more:

Third one from Javede from Deutschland:

fourth one from lilfishyinbigblu

It's a postcard from Ireland sended in NY!

2  Re: I <3 Coffee/Tea Swap Round 2 Gallery!!! in The Swap Gallery by martmer on: May 17, 2006 03:02:59 AM
hi everybody!

I've been waiting two months....checking my post everyday...but nothing.  I wrote my partner several times but she didn't reply so finally I have decided to post what I sent her, and show you guys my stuff.  This is what I sent to mandyc on 22nd March, she might be using-wearing them....

In the picture you can see:

1. A coffee theme apron, reversible.  I took the idea from Phisch http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=75801.0 I did it cause she wrote me " I do like cooking, a lot, actually I like baking mostly"

2. A black and white coffee can,she said " I desperately need decorations for my new kitchen (which will be retro coffee/tea themed)- I'm moving in 6 months"

3. Some chocolates, we make coffee brakes at work, we go to a bar and they serve the coffee with those chocolates, I collected them for mandyc for a month.

4. 6 black and white coasters.  I bought a 50's magazine in a fly market here in Barcelona.  I took some models and glued theme in a peace of cork. I though she would love them because she said "I love anything that shows the hand of the maker when it's done as well as anything 1950's kitschy-retro"

5. Some holy cards ("you know they fit on your wallet with a picture of a saint on the front and a prayer on the back")as she collected them and she said she would love one in Spanish.

6. A postcard from Barcelona.  It is an espresso served in a shot glass.  It is Kind of weird but very typical here.  On the back I explain her all those things and how I made them

That's all.  Thank you Avianflight for your attention and for my angel and thanks Bebopchan for being my angel

4  A DOOR I FOUND ON THE STREET in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by martmer on: February 10, 2006 02:11:44 AM
Hi everybody,

This is my first real post!  Some months ago I did this for our apartment here in Barcelona.  I found a door and I decided to keep it.  I changed the broken glasses for Plexiglas and edited those pictures with photoshop.  I printed them out in my office  Wink.  All the pictures were taken two years ago in Chicago.  I lived there for a year and met my boyfriend who moved whith  me .  I thought it was a good idea for our bedroom.  I hope you like it! Tell me what you think! (excuse me for my bad English...)
