Hehe, I love your diagram! And it does make sense I think, 'tis a good plan and worth trying!

I was also thinking maybe to cover the foam in velvet and fold each piece in half and putting all these foam rows tightly together in the space. Hmm, I can see why you made the diagram, things make a lot more sense in your head than they do in words....

I've fallen in love with a jewellry box. The only thing it's missing is a section to store rings together. There are deep sections and I'd like to make velvet-covered spongey rows (to be technical about it...) to keep the rings in order. Does anyone have any ideas on how to make this work well?

Ooooh I've gotta make me some of those!! I'm sitting here aching all over with a scarf on coz I don't have a heat pack.....I think I know what my next project is gonna be!

The possiblilities are endless....I think that yarn that lovely deserves to be used for something you'll use a lot, so what are you either in most need of or what delicious extra would you use most? Personally I think I would make a bag out of some of it, but only coz i saw a bag made of sari silk about a year ago that I managed to not buy but have been regretting ever since

I also like craftydeb's idea of a summery top....it could be reeally nice

oooh i don't actually fit into this category so i cant really take part. But i was reading and had some ideas? for the sad single girl you could decorate an icecream spoon for those nights in feeling a bit down watching romantic films, a voodoo doll for the angry single, and for the wistful single a little book/check list of things to look for and notes on guys/girls things you like and things you want to keep away from. just ideas

I won't have the time to join this swap (as much as I would really love to) but I've been inspired for projects I can make whenever I do get the time again

I'm very interested in this swap...I have see whether it's feasible for me to join (everything's very hectic here right now) but I'm keeping my eye on it and would love to do it

This is my second crochet project that involves anything more complicated than straight edged shapes (such as scarves, scarves, more scarves and a bag ) the first being a hat I made a week and a half ago that I'm also very proud of (maybe I'll post that one when I have the photos on this computer). It's amazing how long it's taken me to get up the courage to do a "real" project, I only learned to crochet about 12 years ago Hehe, oh well...at least now that I've done it nothing can hold me back! Muahahahahaa...I mean.....erm....yea

I made up the pattern as I went along, very roughly following a glove I found in Tesco. I added the elastic at the wrist so that I could have a completely snug fit and still be able to fit my hand inside (plus I liked the idea of having the wrists laced). I made the second of the pair but the tension was a little too tight so I'm going to be trying again as soon as I have the time to sit down with my hook and yarn again...

I love the one along the piano, the black and white gives it a lovely atmosphere.

My advice would be to work on the angles and perspectives that you use in your photos. Someone once told me (I can't remember who but it stuck with me) that a good photographer always tries to take a photo from an angle that no one else would think of....I try it as much as possible, and even if you don't end up using any of the unusal angles it still makes you think much harder and more creatively about the photo you're about to take

I think the umbrella shot would be lovely if you brough the camera down and took the picture from much closer to ground level, or even from the inside of the umbrella.

That's my little opinion anyway, keep up the good work! Photography is one of my favorite things and I love to see people picking it up
