11  Salt Dough Goodies in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Tara1979 on: September 10, 2006 12:44:54 AM
A few weeks ago hubby surprised me with 2 molds for clay. One of fruits and veggies, and one of cats, dogs and fish. So, tonight I figured I would give salt dough a try and this is what I made:

Dough and molds:

Fish:

The whole crowd:

Some Painted ones:

I still have to coat them in something to seal them. And I have added eye pins to each, so they can hang for pendants or add them to earrings. And I have a buttload of doug left in the fridge!

Thanks for looking!

12  New Earrings! in Beads: Completed Projects by Tara1979 on: September 07, 2006 11:07:31 PM
This past week I was suckered into babysitting for 4 days straight (meaning I was away from my computer, my craft stash, my hubby and my cats). So, I took along my newest beads (courtesy of my loving husband and mommy), and made the following earrings:

I scanned just one of each, since I couldn't get any decent photos and the scanner seems to try to crop each earring out of the whole image.

Anyways, all the beads are glass, except for the dice & Asian coins. Those are cute little dice beads I found, and painted gold (they were lime green first). The coins came from Ebay. The glass looking hearts are cats' eye (very pretty in person).

Any comments or crits? I will be selling some on my site and on ebay. I will also be making similar ones for the earring binge swap Cheesy Thanks for looking!

13  Tranquility Card in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by Tara1979 on: August 03, 2006 02:25:57 PM
Hello all Smiley This is my first hand made card, and I admit that I am rather proud of it Cheesy

I used an image of a blue-ish waterfall, added a 3D Siamese cat (I created the 3D part of it in psp), a square of Asian paper, added a small Asian coin, and then coated the edges with gold leafing pen (Krylon).

Any comments are welcome Cheesy I haven't decided who to give it to, but I am thinking of framing it Wink

17  Re: Cute Easy Magnets in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by Tara1979 on: July 10, 2006 03:45:07 PM
Thank you both Cheesy I just love goldfish (I am currently raising Shubunkins, comets and fan tails)! I want to make more fish magnets for the fridge - they are just too cute not to have displayed! I also made two larger ones, the size of ATCs (they now have been outlined with a black sharpie - they really pop!):

18  Cute Easy Magnets in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by Tara1979 on: July 07, 2006 09:24:05 PM
I was printing images tonight to make earrings as inspired by Kaleesi's post: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=45717.0

So, I printed a few more images to make super easy magents. These are the images I used:

Simple and easy. Print, cut out, cover with either packing tape or contact paper and add magnet sheet to backing. If you'd like more detailed pics, please let me know Smiley Have fun!

20  Reptile (& Other) Drawings (IMG Heavy) in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by Tara1979 on: June 14, 2006 05:13:50 PM
I've modified this post to include other drawings as well Smiley

This past week I've been challenged to draw reptiles for an ATC swap. Sooo...out came my many books and mags, pics I've taken, and so forth. I've created 2 ATCs and one larger pic that I am keeping. Thanks for looking and comments are welcome Cheesy

Since I've first posted, I've been given a job as a book illustrator! I am freelance, but earn $25 an hour (to start - it goes up to $50 after a few jobs are tucked under my belt). There are few illustrators in my area, so needless to say I am psyched to have this job.

The images are all mine, some are "fan art", others are originals. All will be listed on my site this weekend (got the priliminary work done, now just need to fine tune it all). Most of this is very old - 96-97, but still worth a look IMHO. Thanks again for looking!
