1  Timmins the Tenacious Seahorse in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Tara1979 on: April 11, 2009 02:21:55 PM
A few days ago I was visiting family in another city. I love the little city, as it has the most amazing thrift store that sells things for pennies Wink So on my way home I dropped in and bought out all the bags of remnant fabrics for $1 per bag (8 bags with at least 4 FQs per bag). Today I decided to make myself a stuffed hedgehog, using a pattern that I drafted. I decided just to hand sew, as I didn't want to fight with the machine just to sew up one ikkle plushie. Anyways, forgetting that hand sewing makes things a wee bit different, my hedgie turned into a lovely seahorse! That is how Timmins was born Cheesy He is 5" high by 4.5" wide (at his widest parts). He has buttons for eyes and a bit of fibre as a hooked so I can hang him up with my dotees. Please let me know what you think Cheesy Thanks for looking!

2  Some Digital Layouts :) [Image Obesse!] in Scrapbooking: Completed Projects by Tara1979 on: January 15, 2009 09:33:27 PM
So about 2 years ago I discovered digital scrapbooking, and fell in love Smiley I love the ease of it and the fact that I can reuse those lovely papers over and over again Cheesy Another bonus is that hubby doesn't get upset at all the glitter, glue, punchies, tape bits, etc that take over the living room floor, haha. Here are a few of my favorite layouts, thank you for looking! Smiley *Sorry some of the images look a little wonky, they are smaller than normal, however if anyone wants, I can post the link to my Moo Two Designs Albums with full-sized images Smiley *

8  Re: October 2006 Birthday Swap in The Swap Gallery by Tara1979 on: October 26, 2006 12:30:58 PM
Today I received from Eirle - This is part of what I wrote to her:

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![/glow][/color]

Today hubby and I got home from the doctor, to discover a box sitting in front of our door. I thought "Cool, what is it?"...I took it inside and tried opening it. Took nearly ten minutes to find scissors and to open the box without ripping it (I'm a chronic recycler, after all). Inside I find 2 wrapped birthday gifts, and a card. Coolness, I am excited! I open the first wrapped gift (leaving the card for last, as indicated on the envelope!). OMG!!!!! Season 2 of "Numb3rs" on DVD  Shocked Shocked I shreik! Hubby asks whats wrong. I say "Not wrong, Right!! So F-ing cool!!!". Hubby grins Wink I proceed to wrapped gift #2, open it to find not one, but 2 "Numb3rs" CalSci T-shirts!!!! I shriek again! Hubby is barely controlling his laughter now. Nods and comments how awesome everything is. Then I proceed to the envelope. I open it up, and read the back (only because it is what was facing me). I turn it over, read what it says, and start shrieking again! Hubby is laughting out loud now. Next I open the card, and read what is written - about how David Krumholtz singed a birthday card to me! Here's where I start crying...LOTS. I spend the next 1/2 hour crying tears so such amazing joy, with hubby hugging me and telling me that this birthday will NEVER be beat.

Now, here are pics:

Thank you again Jessica!!!

10  A Few New Things in Beads: Completed Projects by Tara1979 on: October 14, 2006 02:29:11 PM
I've been a busy bee lately, and made a few new things that I wanted to share:

A Nestlace for my Mom, for her birthday:

It is quite small, a bit larger than a Canadian dime. The beads represent us 3 kids. It's on a suede cord, as she's very earthy that way Smiley

Some new style earrings I've been making - long and dangly, with natural stones and "crushed ice" glass seed beads:

And more that I will post after a certain someone receives, lol Cheesy So, please post comments! Thank you for looking Cheesy
