1  Re: The best darn tampon holder ever! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by padray on: August 16, 2006 03:27:09 PM
This is genius.  What a great idea!  I just need to find something similar that can fit a super-size tampon... Hmmm.

I'm trying to think of stuff for you & others who read, who need something a lil' larger...

If you use the kind with a cardboard applicator, then the only thing I can think of would be a travel toothbrush holder.  But that would be conspicuous, which defeats our purpose. I'll think on that... and anyone who uses this kind, should think about switching!  Wink

As for OB-style, but larger of course... um. Not as sturdy as the Bonne Bell, but still an option... a paper roll for quarters (or possibly nickels)! You know the kind you roll them in, to exchange for paper money?
And our $ stores carry those lipstick cases, with the tiny mirror and just enough room for a tampon! That's what I used for a long time, until my purse got stolen a few years ago.

I'm still with the brainstorming here... Grin

Edited to add: How about one of these?
It's an M&M's mini container. Sorry the pic is so small, I couldn't find a better one. The only drawback I can think of is having people (who don't know) ask you for some candy!

2  Travelin' in Style! (2 pics) in Stenciling: Completed Projects by padray on: March 25, 2006 11:52:50 PM
This is my second project post and my first stencil (on something permanent)...YEAH! Cheesy  I'm going on a trip in May and wanted to jazz up my wheelie...so I stenciled it! I did it the ghetto way, with card stock and a sharpie. Tongue

Here she is:

Obligatory close-up:

I got this stencil from stencilry. I did sorta test it on the back of a notebook, and that's why I left her other arm out of this stencil. I messed up on the cutting there, but I think it looks okay without it. I'm thinking of adding to it somehow. I'll post if I do. Any suggestions or comments are welcome!  Smiley

3  Re: Making your own halloween costume-along.. in Halloween Costumes by padray on: February 17, 2006 12:00:18 AM
Heh, a few months late, but I figured I'd post my Halloween costume.  I'm not sure how many of you remember the 80s animated movie "The Last Unicorn" based on the novel of the same name by Peter S. Beagle, but I went as Amalthea this Halloween.

Here's a group shot for good measure!

L-R: My friend Raff as Dan Hawkins of The Darkness, a friend of a friend as Electra and Me.

For more info on the costume, visit my craft page: http://www.maevan.com/knit/cfos.html

That's an awesome wig! I must search ebay this year for wigs! And...have you ever been blonde? I think it looks great on you!  Smiley

4  Re: Show off your hair! And questions about hair styles! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by padray on: January 10, 2006 04:07:21 PM
This is the hair I want:

Only the top part would be light / medium brown & then the underneath would be purple, but the special effects 'joy ride' shade.  I <3 it!
Questions: Can you get the same choppy/layered look but make the whole thing longer?  I'd like to keep most of my length.  When I bleach the underneath (before I purple-ize it) and separate the top part... should I do anything special to prevent bleach getting onto the top section? Like wetting it or put conditioner on it or something?  Undecided

What do you think?

Anyone ever try something like this?!?

I have to say it's the best take on Genie I've ever seen!  The 'bottle' is a foam skirt.   Wink
