This looks really great! I love how the print looks on the stripes. Smiley

These look great! Did you have to use a special thread for the pot holders to ensure the design doesn't melt?

I just used good ol' embroidery floss, actually. It seems to hold up and there haven't been any problems yet. Smiley

Thanks for all the comments!

Robots in Love!
I made this kitchen set for a friend about a year ago, but whoops...I am just posting it now. I've been busy, ok? I embroidered simple lines on black towels and potholders that I bought as a set for cheap $$.

I was going to make a cheesy joke about robot love and 'sparks flying' but I guess I'll just post pictures instead. Smiley

Whole set (there is also a towel with the boy robot's face to match the girl one, but it got cut from the pic for some reason):

58  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Jerry Orbach pillow! on: February 11, 2007 04:51:26 PM
I made this Jerry pillow for my Law & Order obsessed roomie. It is all hand-made. I stenciled the image on white fabric and transfered it to the pillow. I also added some decorative stitching around the edges. Hope you like it!

Thanks for looking!! Smiley
59  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Two FULL HOUSE totes! Michelle & Uncle Jesse!! on: February 11, 2007 04:38:55 PM
These stencil totes were gifts for my roomie and my sister. I bought plain tote bages and stenciled on white fabric (so the paint would show up more clearly and in case i messed up) and sewed that to the front of the bag. I added some stitching details on the handles, some hand lettering with a fabric marker and a secret pocket on the purple bag. The Michelle tote features a quote from one my favorite Full House episodes, and if you don't know it you have to see it!

60  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Brown & Blue Piebald Hoodie! Dance Party!! on: February 11, 2007 04:23:11 PM
I made this hoodie for my roomate for Christmas. We both love the band Piebald and one of her fave songs by them is "All You Need is Drums to Start a Dance Party," which is what the quote/lyric on the chest and back of the hoodie is from.

The blue material is a cut up tshirt and the brown is jersey knit. I hand wrote the words with a brown fabric marker and then outlined them in black.

Thanks for looking!
