3  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Mizzie Morawez, have you heard of her? on: October 14, 2011 09:39:12 AM
I have never heard of her but I did a goggle search and this is what I came up with.  Some of the sites are in English     http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=Mizzie+Morawez&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8
Her work is dynamic!

Your handwork is absolutely magnificent! Your workmanship shows your great love and respect for your culture. I am so happy that you chose to share this. Thank you.
5  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: December 2010 Birthday Swap - Discussion and Gallery on: December 31, 2010 11:08:26 AM
"I am now hopelessly in love with weaving" It definitely shows. Your piece is far from boring to me. I like it so much that I immediately wanted to knit or crochet one for myself. It is BEAUTIFUL! Great Job!
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Alterations to McCalls M5806... on: December 18, 2009 06:07:05 AM
I think you should cut the pattern out as is using a satin or muslin fabric (your choice) then hand pleat and stitch the top fabric onto that base.
This is probably easiest to do on a dress form. If you must use a live model be careful with the pins.
This is a beautiful dress. The best of luck. I look forward to seeing the finished product.
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Classic Elite Uptown Knitting Fall 07 Cabled Hat - anyone try this yet? on: August 25, 2007 09:02:57 AM
This is where the pattern is available
You can also search the website for stores in your area that might carry the pattern book and yarn.
Hope this helps.
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Decoupage Jeans Tutorial? on: August 14, 2007 06:39:58 AM
I searched and found this site which is what you may be looking for:http://www.dala.co.za/tag000.asp?projects=52
I have tried this process on a scrap before. I washed it successfully but only once so I don't know how it would hold up after repeated washings.
I'm gald you posted your question. I am a magazine freak and find it hard to throw them away. After all they could be used for something useful. I think I'll search for some images and see what I come up with.
Good Luck on your projsct.
