1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Sock Monkey Round 2? on: February 24, 2006 11:34:52 AM
There was a sock monkey swap a while back and everyone made adorable monkeys.  Anyone ready for a round 2?
2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Help with Murder Mystery Party. on: February 22, 2006 10:06:23 PM
My dd wants a murder mystery party for her 14th in May, but we can't find any predone party kits that she doesn't think are lame.  It can't be that hard to come up with your own.  From what I can figure out after the RSVP you send out character profiles to the guests along with clues that need to be revealed during certain points of the game/party.  The characters can not lie, but they can avoid revealing clues by changing the subject and getting other people to answer their questions.  The person that figures it out is the winner, but there are prizes for best costume, best actor etc..  Is there something I'm missing?  Can some more experienced Murder Party planner give some hints or better yet some files that I can base a new party off of?

Thank You!
3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / How do I keep images from smearing? on: February 13, 2006 10:53:47 AM
I am trying to decopage some items printed from my ink jet, but the ink always runs and screws up the pictures when I paint my glue over the top.  How do I do it right?

Thanks for helping the clueless.
4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Gift for daughter's boyfriend... on: December 21, 2005 10:49:48 AM
Ooops, he kind of fell off my list because he is "new" this year - the first "serious" boyfriend for my 16 yo dd.  My budget is all spent, but I want to do something nice because he is a great kid and we really like him.

Some info that might help:  He's 17, a senior in hs, works at a pizza place and a software store, met my dd on a church trip, loves to play ddr and roleplaying/quest type vidio games, dyes his hair black and gets his mom to sew costumes for when he attends anime conventions, is great with little kids, loves Japaneese "stuff" unless it is sushi, can't figure out where to go to college but takes all AP classes, listens to Christian Punk...

He is such a cute little geek!  Help, this kid needs a present!
