Those are absolutely adorable, I hope to see more!  I feel like we're in the 50's all over again!

Wow!  I'm in hutchinson and I hate it!  I have to go to wichita if I just want to go somewhere other than walmart.  A new york room would be a great place to escape!

That is so cute!!  I love fosters!  It would be really great if you made a baby paco charm that you could just snap around one of the straps. Great work!

1776  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: Wedding in 6 months? Am I insane? on: December 30, 2005 06:09:51 PM
Congrats!!  I had to plan my wedding in about 2-3 months and was very pregnant at the time (I had my daughter 3 weeks before the wedding.)  So, needless to say, we were on a tight budget...but everything worked out just beautifully!  We had the wedding and the reception at a really swanky type bistro (very bright and colorful), and had a Mad Hatter theme so everything was topsy-turvy and crazy which made it really easy to set up, if there was anything out of place you'd never have known!  The bistro made all the food and it, and the bar, was all included in the price of renting out the space.  We figured the ceremony would only take about 15 minutes so why not just try and focus on the great party afterwards.  It was also a great way for everyone to meet the new baby so we didn't have a whole bunch of family making unexpected visits to our very messy house!

What a great idea!  But in my house I don't have a dog, I have a one year old daughter.  She's the one I'm trying to keep out of the cat food...

I know how frustrating it is to try and teach yourself to sew...If you are anything like me books just don't do it for you.  But I might have an idea for you that might fit your schedule and budget.  Now this may seem like a crazy idea but trust me here...Go to a fabric store, walk right up to the lady at the counter and ask her if she knows of any little old ladies who would be willing to teach a young lady to sew.  That's what I did and I ended up with a great woman who used to teach home ec way back when, and she only charged me 5$ a lesson, and I could work the lessons around my schedule.  There are alot of little sweet old ladies out there who have nothing to do and would love to teach for almost nothing!  I hope that helps alittle!
