1  Super Punch Out Mega Project in Needlework: Completed Projects by Sewsew-a-Gogo on: November 20, 2010 02:27:46 PM
After about two years and almost 80,000 x's (is one stitch half of the x or the whole thing?), my Super Mega Punch Out Project is finished. It measures about 12" by 28" so it's pretty big and I have yet to find a frame that will actually fit it. I really don"t want to spend $150 to custom frame it so I'm not sure where it's going to go yet. I'm kind of sad to see it finished because now I have nothing to do. Sad

Woah historicalneedle!  You're doing some serious stitchin' on your project! I wish I was that fast!  I'm amazed by all of the amazing projects on this board! I've finally gotten back to my project and since I've finished Von Kaiser I have 75% of my Punch Out project finished!

It's nice to look at it and finally see one whole side completed!

Well, I finally made some progress on my project and finished Soda Popinski.  I had to set it aside for a few months because of some killer migraines that made it almost impossible to work on anything that required any amount of close attention.  Cheesy  I now only have four more characters to finish and then the whole project will be done!

Oh man!  I can't wait to see that Ocarina of Time Project!!  That looks amazing!  Since the last thread I've finished Super Macho Man...

...and I'm currently working on Soda Popinski.  After I finish him I'll have only four more characters to go!  I hope so cause I'm kinda sick of looking at Punch Out characters.  Cheesy

9  Hello Kitty Cardboard Car! in Completed Projects by Sewsew-a-Gogo on: October 01, 2009 07:29:02 PM
Recently my daughter started kindergarten and being the mommy I've found that I have to do almost as much work as she does.  We've had lots of little projects that are being sent home that I get to work on.  My latest project was to make a cardboard car for the upcoming "transportation parade".  The kids get all dressed up in little cardboard cars (or planes or trains...) and march around the school and then they get to check out some real cars and trucks.  My daughter had her mind set on being a VW Bug that had Hello Kittys all over the sides.  I tried for a Bug but it didn't end up that way...

I did most of the work but my daughter colored all of the kittys and cupcakes...

I'm a little upset about the "face".  I wasn't paying attention and I put it on crooked.  I've learned to live with it though.  Cheesy  And yes... that's a blower on the hood.  That's my husband's contribution.  Cheesy

We still have to put some suspenders on it so she can wear it but other than that it's finished.  Someday I'll have a real car that looks just like this.  Cheesy

Mind if I join?  Cheesy  A while ago I started the Punch Out patterns from Sprite stitch and since I'm incredibly slow I've been posting them over in the Big Project Stitchalong board.  I didn't even know this thread was here!  Here's what I have so far...

And hopefully this is what it will look like when it's finished only with all the squares filled in.  Cheesy
