Isn't he silly? when i LOVE the dress and so does everyon else??

my aprons i had to wear at work ((well my last job, i quit, it was stupid)) i made myself. They had to be plain plack, but the lining of the front pockets and he back of the apron ((the part against my legs)) was purple halloween fabric. No one ever knew! unless, u were staring between my legs..

Oh yeh.

i whipped this up last night while looking through old woman's weekly cookbooks. i felt like getting a little domesticated and learn to cook. But instead of heading to the stove, i headed for the sewing machine! You can't see in the picture, but there's a little black bow on the top left. I've been wearing this apron all day... heehee...

So this is a skirt my boyfriend tim made for me. It had a stretchknit waistband and a woven skirt area. He chose the material and figured it all out all by himself with only a few carefully-placed-pins from me Smiley

The skirt ended up being way to long for me, cute tho, i liked the way it trailed on the floor. But tim was sasd because he knewe it would get ruined. So i just took off my shirt and hoiked it up over my boobs. he liked that part! and now he's happy and proud!

He's a very clever boy and while I study fashion, he's about to study photography so we can make our dreams of a owning our own label a realiy. He's a darling and I love him so much.

960  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Making Calico Soft on: January 30, 2006 04:57:01 AM
Just wondering if anyone knew how to make calico soft? I'm toying with the idea of entering into the australian cotton week young designers awards and 80% of your designs must be calico. I always imagine calico as that cream boring material with flecks of brown in, but i'm sure its alot more versatile than that?

Can anyone help me?
