31  Ramones baby dickies shorts in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by SinDoll on: August 13, 2009 03:59:11 AM
Well I think they look like dickies shorts anyway. I drafted a pattern from a pair of denim shorts that fit him well and then made him a new pair from black cotton Drill.

I stitched on a Ramones patch I took off my jeans too.

I made a pair out of camoflague leftovers too. I'll get a pic when I can find them

32  I call these things BUTTS in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by SinDoll on: August 13, 2009 03:55:28 AM
I used a soaker pattern I found online ((probably through here)) and because Vinnie wears disposables ((I DID TRY with cloth, he just saturated 5 in 2 hours and I gave up!)) I use these as little shorts instead.

I call them Butts.

Knuckleduster - he has one of these in Green

"Stop Staring at My Nuts" - a t-shirt surgery

Ramones - I used bleached jerseyknit

And i posted these in another thread, but they're the same pattern

And the lovely playmat he's on was also DIYed by my Aunty for him. Such a crafty family!

33  Vinnie's Trailer Trash Singlets in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by SinDoll on: August 12, 2009 03:50:06 AM
So I ripped all the patches off one of my husband's shirts and sewed them onto the front of a bunch of Vinnie's boring singlets.

Super easy + Super cute

My little man LOVED modelling for me too. He thought it was a fun game

and then I embellished another singlet with a bow I made + some buttons

34  Gumball Skirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by SinDoll on: August 12, 2009 03:01:55 AM
I havn't really made much lately. My little fella is 3months old now, and only now has started being less demanding so I can have a bit of time to myself!

It does take me about 5 hours longer to make stuff now!

I bought this fabric from a second-hand shop and made a skirt from it with lots of gathers, a waistband + pockets. I want to make more skirts like this because they are cute + fun + make it look like I have a waist ((I'm built like a rectangle with boobs))

I'm making more baby stuff than human stuff lately, so keep any eye on the kids boards for my little man ((the best model in the world)) in his awesome new threads Cheesy

35  I Don't Even Know How To Crochet But This Tam Somehow Happened in Crochet: Completed Projects by SinDoll on: May 05, 2009 12:52:02 AM

It's true. I've been sort of learnign how to crochet, and I have a print out of all the different stitches + about a million patterns I found online. I've found I get about halfway + start making the rest of it up though, lol.

And that's what I did with this Tam. I printed it from my parent's house, so unfortunately I don't have the pattern I ((started)) to use for it but it was originally supposed to be a Tam ((Slouchy beanie)) for my husband Tim.

ahahaha Tim's Tam.

Anyway. I ran out of yarn Sad and so it just wasn't long enough to be slouchy on him.

Here's the wool I used. I only got two balls but I wish I had of got more. It's thicker in some places + reminds me of dredlocks Smiley

So now I'm tryign again to make one for Tim, a grey + black one this time, but i'm doing this entirely from scratch. lol. We'll see...

36  As If Ugh Boots Couldn't Get Any Trashier in Shoes: Completed Projects by SinDoll on: May 05, 2009 12:31:54 AM

With me I think anything is possible!

So tim bought these for me from CottonOn last year. I know people have such a love/hate relationship. I'm one of the lovers + not because they are AUSTRALIAN and I'm really NATIONALISTIC and am going to go get a SOUTHERN CROSS tattoo to show my LOVE FOR MY COUNTRY. lol. Nope, I just like them because they are uber trashy ((Pamela Anderson is one of my biggest trash-inspirationalists))

So I started to paint them last year, they were going to have octopuses all over them but then I got distracted. This them last night::

I was going to buy a new pair the other day, have you seen those tartan ughs that areound? Well I almost did, then remembered that I can't spend over $20 on ANYTHING if I can make it myself.

So I did!

I recovered my ugh boots with this black snakeskin pvc that used to be a long jacket ((think matrix - lol)). I covered my ughs in clingwrap then masking tape then cut the masking tape off + had a pattern!

Sewed all the pieces together then hotglued them to my boots, hand stitchign the black to the ankles just to anchor it. You can't see in the pics but the outside of the other boot has a metal zipper.

37  Panda Pants in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by SinDoll on: April 17, 2009 05:25:03 AM
I made these to put over my son's nappies. We've got a few modern cloth diapers ((I don't feel as if any I might make would be good enough, although I MAY give them a go)) but mostly those big old school square towelling cloth nappies. They seem so big + bulky on the teddy I was using to show my husband how to put a nappy on ((he got it first go))

I'm not sure yet, because we don't have a real baby to practice on yet ((2.5weeks!!)), but it just seemed that the nappies might fall off his litlte bum. Whether they do or not, doesn't really matter anymore because I've been making these easy peasy little pants to slip over his nappies.

The first pair I've finished are these fleecy panda pants! The others are more punk rock with patches + stencils across the bum, so these are the cute ones. I'll take pics of the others later when I've finished them all, but I HAD to share these!

That's the bum. And this is the front

And I'm totally making myself a pair now.

Here's an action shot on my 3 month old's giant legs Smiley

38  Heart Skirts in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by SinDoll on: April 16, 2009 03:56:49 AM
((I watermarked these Max + Betty which is me + my sister, not my label or anything so PLEASE don't put this in limbo for the watermark. It's just for my blog.))

I made a few of these this week, but had to wait until my sister Betty came to visit me before I could get some awesome pics.

We had alot of fun taking these pics at the lawn bowls place behind my apartments.

They're just made out of stretchknit ((t-shirt material)) and with big embellished hearts stitched to the fronts. You can even wear them as tops/mini dresses we figured out!!

I'm going to make some more with hearts on the bums ((so placed lower down on the skirt)) and others where the heart is a pocket. Like a Heart-shaped kangaroo pocket.

My favourite pic. Betty looks so badass.

This one has a recycled denim heart, with a smaller denim heart inside it. It's trimmed with this sequin elastic I found in my stash + a bow made from the leftover fabric. The denim was from a pair of Betty's jeans - she remembered them too, even from that small piece! teehee.

i just love it. Denim + sequins is just so damn tacky, but DAMMIT I love tacky. And me + my sister rock tack like you have no idea. lol

This is Betty's favourite, she took it home with her! lol.

I added thin little crossover straps and a big ol' heart. The heart is made from red polkadot stretchknit leftovers ((you should see the size of my scraps box)) and trimmed with red lace, a red satin bow + white ribbon.

This was the first one I made. From awesomely ugly green stretchknit. It had navy + white stripes across the bottom of it, so I incorporated the white stripe into it as the hem. I have alot of ugly stretchknit, so I used some white + seagreen striped stretch as the fabric for the heart. I put a smaller green heart inside and trimmed it with lace, a satin ribbon + a big stretknit bow

AS a skirt....

and as a top or a mini dress ((leggings are advised!))

Black + white stretchknit for the skirt, with more ugly stretch from the box of ugly stretch! This time it's white with these different width ridges running across it. I used it as the heart, added a smaller black heart, some buttons, a bow + trimmed the edge in black lace.

Oh look at those shoes. They are my favourite pair of killer heels. *sigh* ♥

And as a top!

39  "Faking It" Hoodie + some Knickers in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by SinDoll on: April 14, 2009 10:04:45 PM
I had to make some more clothes, my maternity tees are too shapeless, too blah and too short now!

((only 3 weeks left))

I love this hoodie. These pictures crack me up though because from the front + back you can't tell I'm pregnant, sideways it looks like a beachball has been shoved up there. I should take a pic of me pulling my shirt up so you can see it's real!

((prolly shoudl wash my hair - ick))

Made from red + black checkered stretchknit with a bit of red stretchknit thrown in for trimmings etc.

And I made some knickers from scraps Smiley

40  80s tee -> Mini Skirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by SinDoll on: April 14, 2009 10:00:24 PM
I'm so insanely pregnant it's ridiculous! I don't believe i'm that big until i look at a pic like this - lol

Anyway I cut up this awesomely 80s tee from Katies I had. It was like a square with holes for the neck, arms + bottom. I transformed it into this super-tight mini skirt, added a heard cut from anotehr tee + a bow.

I'm getting ridiculous with the hearts + bows on everything. Makes me wanna vomit.

Luckily for me, my entire pregnancy it's just been my belly + boobs that grow, so i can still wear cute little minis ((just really low-slung!))
