3  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: handmade modelling rubber tools tutorial on: May 23, 2007 03:40:12 PM
they look fab! i tottaly understand what you are taking about with tools leaving marks you can't fix, i have some of the store bought ones of these, but i have always felt that they were odd shapes for what I wanted to do. I might have to try making these.
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Another Table Cloth Skirt on: May 23, 2007 03:30:27 PM
It looks great! I agree that it really wanted to be a skirt. I now will need to keep my eyes open for circular table cloths to turn into skirts.

6  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: recipes to teach my college age son who freaks out over raw meat on: May 15, 2007 07:22:54 PM
I'm not sure if some one else has suggested this, just because i haven't read threw all 4 pages! but what if you taught him how to make an easy pizza crust. i know freshman year i spent a ton of money on pizza, and later on i learned how to make it my self, and every weekend my friends and i would make pizza. plus with pizza you can use up just about every thing, and the meats that go on pizza are precooked such as pepperoni, and sausage. Also if he gets into i would recommend getting a pizza stone, it makes pizza come out much crisper!
7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: jewelry + boyfriend -engagement? on: May 15, 2007 07:18:01 PM
for christmas i gave my boy friend a "quilt" that i made for him. it was pretty easy to make, i bought a peice of fleece pre cut that was made for creating a fleece throw for the back. then got two types of fabric, did some math so figure out how many squares to make, then cut the fabric into large squares and alternated them. sewed it all together and it looked great. he sleeps with it every night witch is pretty cute.

9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: drummer bf??? on: February 08, 2007 07:51:28 PM
What about setting aside a stay at home night for the two of you as a date type thing, you could cook something thats easy like pasta and red sauce (guys love home cooked meals), watch a movie, since hes getting into reggae I would suggest The Harder They Come, witch is about reggae and Jamaica, and cuddle on the couch. If you wanted it to look more pulled together to give him an actual gift on valentines day, you could get a basket and put in it some pop corn, movie rental gift certificates, you could write out "gift" certificates for the other things such as making dinner, and maybe certificates for bad movie habits such as, I will not talk for 10 mints during an important scene or something and maybe even a blanket to cuddle with? That would be my suggestion
