21  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Redid my room! (pic heavy) on: January 09, 2006 05:30:09 PM
Well, I was going to put these pictures in the "Show me your Bedroom" thread, but that thread seems to be locked. So here goes:

Half of my room is Renaissance-esque, the other side has a more modern look with lots of black and white. The Renaissance side, and a closeup of my dresser:

The modern side, and views of my desk and bed

My closet:

I'm in the closet, interpret that as you like...

I can't help but noticed that the cloths in your closet are all in coordination with the room... on purpose for photographic reasons, or do you dress only in pink and black? 'Cause honestly... I can see that totally working. Grin

Hehe, I basically only dress in black, white and red, so this comment is giving me an idea....

I'm jealous. When I get my own place I am so having a sewing room like yours!

Psyche, you don't need to have a canopy bed from the start to have one. I found a way around it. Loosely thumbtack all four corners of a big piecefabric over your bed to the ceilling (it has to sort of drape) , leaving a couple inches hanging and then safety pin the curtain-thingie fabric to the sides.
