4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: last minute gift on: December 23, 2006 08:28:37 PM
The band shirt sounds really cool. If you still want to be crafty, you could maybe make a card shaped like a guitar, with the caption "I never need to see the sun again, there's enough light in your eyes to light up our little world." Trust me, he'll recognize it, haha.
5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Tatted Plastic Grocery Bag Bookmark (& some twine) on: August 23, 2006 09:21:06 PM
You've inspired me! Now I want to knit plastic bags (because I can't crochet beyond a simple chain stitch). I'm thinking a door mat would be kinda cool.
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Re: Help! How do I fill little holes in rental walls? (holes from decorating) on: August 23, 2006 09:06:16 PM
I find white-out to be pretty effective for small holes. Wink

What I had in my room at my parents' last year (and am planning on doing again this year), is making a black and white striped desk! I just alternated black electrical tape with white masking tape, and since my decor is fairly black-and-white themed, it worked quite nicely. I'd test how the laminate stands up to the tape in an inconspicuous area (like underneath) first, to avoid having to pay for the damages. Hereare some pics, to get an idea:

8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: Perfect Gift for Middle School Teen on: August 22, 2006 09:21:17 PM
That's a good idea. I'd maybe add some lipgloss or something to make her feel pretty.
9  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: another black and white on: August 22, 2006 07:44:44 PM
That is awesome, especially considering my own admiration for OhGr!

I wanna have him on my wall *whines*
