I need a gift idea for my dad for Christmas, he is in his 50's likes to work out, listen to music on his ipod, and i don't know what else. i don't know what kinds of colors he likes. he likes to read magazines. my mom got him a nook color last year, but he hardly uses it. he also likes sports, we live in Milwaukee, WI and so he is a huge packer, brewer, etc. fan. he does not wear scarfs, and I already got him a hat before that he wears. I'm not sure what type of style he has, but it is not a kitschy, crafty style. I would like to make him something that he would like and actually use. I am low on funds this year and cannot afford to buy a gift so I have to make one. I can crochet, bead, do needlepoint, etc.
I made a bunch of earrings for my mother for Christmas. I was going to post it for the contest, but I forgot. I got a cookie tin and put them in it, I made one for each part of the tin. Some I made from patterns and some I did freehand. unfortunately I didn't keep track of which were from patterns. here they are all together: here are all the earrings: and i also made an earring holder from a frame I had laying around: and here they are all together: my mom was very impressed and thinks that I should start selling my jewelry. what do you think? how do you like the earrings? any constructive criticism would be apreciated
I'm making this for dinner tonite, its still in the oven but it smells good, i can't wait to eat it. I'm not a cooker so this will be one of my first dishes I've made, thanks for the recipe
this project has a long story behind it. I found a gift book with a plain white and black voodoo doll last year that i thought would be perfect to bead on and give as a present to my mother, i didn't finish it last year, but when I was cleaning out the basement I rediscovered it and finished it in time for mothers day here it is:
and here's the final result: front: back: and finally the side view hope you like, my mom did.
