2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / PILLOW HELP!!! on: June 14, 2006 05:14:36 PM
hey lovely people!!

I am moving into a new apartment soon and am lookin to decorate it and well, I found a great picture in Living etc. ( a british mag) and they had the most amazing pillows in it!! they are HUGE and white with black embroidery on them in a sort of lacey/indian/morrocan style on it.  I was wondering if anyone might know of anything similar or could lead me in the direction of a store (or online site) that sells really awesome pillows! any help would be much appreciated!! THANK YOU!! Cheesy

oh my goodness.. what else can I say that hasn't been said before.. I *LOVE* this!  I used to be much more into creepy/dark things than I am now , but I still adore this ... the huge needle hanging on the wall gives me the willies just looking at it!

wonderful job!

5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Leather wrist cuffs on: December 20, 2005 05:22:46 AM
hey now everyone...

I really hope this isn't a repeat post or something, I tried looking through a few things but didn't see exactly what I was looking for.... anyway, on to the question: Huh

has anyone ever made leather wrist cuffs or is there a tutorial somewhere on how to?

I saw a movie recently where a girl wore some really cool ones and I decided I wanted to make some for myself but I don't have any clue on where to start  Undecided.. here are some examples of what I'm looking to make:

6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: Rapunzel, rapunzel, let down your hair! (scarf) on: December 19, 2005 03:20:22 AM
yesterday I had my boy take me by the craft store on our last minute christmas gift shopping and there were all these tiny bunches of brightly colored yarns on sale for like 1.50 a pop so I went crazy thinking about this project and bought tons of yarn!  Now I'm gonna make my own scarf!

hopefully I have enough materials, but if not I'll head back to the store... my colors are going to be

1) bright pinks and reds
2) lime greens mixed with various other colors
3) bright blue and electric blues

I think it's going to come out great! I have until thursday, late morning to finish it because I want to take it with me on my trip to texas for christmas to show my family! hooray! I'll take pictures! Smiley

those are awesome and now I want to make one too!  maybe they charged so much for the original scarf because you do need all different types of yarn and ribbon.. I mean, I only have a few balls of yarn (cause I just moved here and couldn't bring yarn I already had) so if I made something like that for myself, I'd have to go and buy so much different yarn and ribbons....

I love it though! when I finish the scarf I'm knitting now, I think I might try to make one of these for myself!  Shocked Grin

9  New York / New York: Central / Re: attn SYRACUSE area crafters! want to craft together? on: December 12, 2005 01:35:47 PM
hey! I'm new to the area, I just moved here in october, but I've been looking for a crafty community!  I do a little knitting and a little sewing, but I'm not really all that great at either.. I'm a beginner for sure but would love to get together with crafty girls to inspire each other and just talk.... i'm not working on any projects as of now, but I could always get something going...

where is your store? do you have a website? I'd love to see it...  Grin
