1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Question about knitted kitty on: May 19, 2007 09:09:21 PM
I may be the only person dumb enough to be confused by something as simple as geobabe's knitted kitty pattern, but I've got a question about the instructions for the tail:

Quote
Cast on 16 sts. K 1st row. In the 2nd row, K 10 sts and turn (leaving 6 sts "unknitted"). 3rd row K (this row is shorter now). Repeat these 3 rows 3 times.

Does this mean the tail should be 12 rows? Those three rows, and then the three rows repeated three times? Or is it 9 rows, with the first three counting as the first "repeat?"

Also, to other people who've knit this, was anyone else's tail kind of funny-looking? Their knitted kitty's tail, I mean. Because mine is coming out sort of funny-looking, and I think it's just because my tension isn't even enough (it's fine on the body and the head), but I just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything else I could be doing wrong on the tail.
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / What setting on iron for emroidered iron-on letters? on: April 20, 2007 11:14:08 AM
I haven't been able to find information about what setting to use on the iron for embroidered iron-on transfers, just for the regular iron-on transfers that are washable. Does it make a difference that these are embroidered?

The instructions are: "With your heated iron apply pressure for 10-15 seconds to the cloth-covered applique tacking it into position. Turn the garment inside-out and with your heated iron apply pressure for 20-25 seconds to the back of where your applique has been tacked."

The T-shirt I am putting the letters on is 50% cotton and 50% polyester. What setting should I use?
